I hope Bird has someone else in mind to draft and not Marcus Morris. I just don't see Morris as better than Brooks or Burks.

He is pretty good, I'll be happy with him.

Regarding Marcus I am not that excited about a tweener 3/4. I want an athletic specimen at the 4, not some player who is going to jack up 3's and get handled down low, that is what Troy Murphy was for.

Burn up the phones to try and get that #3 pick or Favors from the Jazz. They said no one on their roster is untouchable.

These mocks are starting to become way too much, lol I think most people try to change them around with weird combinations to try to get them talked about, lol...

I think the most interesting part is the second round players and some late first, just to see who most people think will still be available during that time, but as far as the top I'm starting to think a lot of it is a joke...

I take that back, the most interesting thing is the analysis of the teams picks as well as the analysis of the players, that what matters more than the actual placement of the picks...

I don't want either of the Morris twins.

I think both are good players, but I don't think either is/will be better than Tyler.

If we're going big, I'd rather try for Tristan Thompson.

I would definitely try to get Favors, just not sure we'd have enough to get him.

If Derrick Williams is there at 3, I'd try to make a trade. Jazz seem like a good trade partner for the Pacers as opposed to Kahn and the freakin Wolves.

I think the only pick that would make me really unhappy is Marcus Morris, outside of doing something monumentally stupid like taking Singler at 15, of course.

[edit] Oh, and I've defended Kahn more than a time or two, but if he's stupid enough to take Kanter over Williams the man is a freakin' loon.

Plus we don't need Marcus. He doesn't rebound or defend well, plus he's a tweener. No Morris twins!

Why no to Markief? He is a legit pf, defends well, is tough, and rebounds. We need all of that badly in our front court.

Yeah I think this is one of the most unpredictable drafts in recent years.

I wonder what they are basing us taking Kemba off of. Just the BPA? What do you guys think of us getting Kemba? Is he better than DC or AJ?

I wanted to get your guys opinions on Jordan Hamilton, I feel he could be a consistent scorer of the bench at the wing position, which we seemed to be missing of the bench once George was inserted into the starting lineup. I looked at the espn analyst rankings & Ford has him 15th on his Big Board, and Bilas has him 9th. While Hollinger's draft rater has him 10th in the draft.

All the mocks I have seen have him going after us around 19 & 20.

What are your guys thoughts about him as a player, and possible pacers pick?

I think he is better than both. DC would have to go though imo. I was very impressed with kemba this year and to me he is just a guy that can flat out play.

I just noticed that nbadraft.net has Thompkins going 25th to Boston, as opposed to 42 for us according to DE. Man, nobody knows what the F is gonna happen, do they?

I don't like his attitude, but he's got talent, so I wouldn't be broken up if we got him.

Well, DC can flat out play too. But he also has really bad shortcomings, like not being able to see the floor well or anticipate movement. From the brief time I watched Kemba play, which was the tourney, he seemed like another undersized scorer. I wonder how well he can run a team, not make step back jumpshots... we really need a floor general if we are getting another 6' guy.

NBADraft.net also has us passing on Biyombo.
I know he is a risk, & a project, but he fits a need & has big upside.

Yeah I am thinking he is better than both as far as overall player as far as pg skills I think DC has him, but not AJ...
