Can we use our cap space to absorb contracts during the lock out? Because right now the 30 million in cap space is not available.

With no deal I think all business is shut down. So ya 30 mill in capspace is worth as much as the libyan currency right now.

Hold on bro, I will grab it.............

The Pacers have to add another player on the wing through the draft, trade or free agency because Mike Dunleavy is a free agent and they are expected to try to trade the inconsistent Brandon Rush.

So does anyone think the Pacers will try and do something prior to possible Lockout or just go into it with their money?

alright thanks man...dang, I actually like Rush, but I can definitely see why we'd be trying to trade him.

    Well

They can make trades on draft night but anyone stop to think that it might be a good thing there has been no movement?

Joe D provided a perfect example of how NOT to use cap space by over reacting to not signing someone

Maybe my memory is off but I don't remember a lot of deals being done this time a year anyway. To me as long as its the right deal I don't care when it happens as long as "it" happens.

no you guys dont understand teams like the wolves are rebuilding Granger is the better player but Demar is younger and already puts up good stats. He is more valuble to a team like the wolves Granger is more valuble to a team that is on the cust of winning a title. With Granger on the wolves that doesn't improve them enough to make them contenders. The package that was rumored we were gonna get for Granger is what a superstar type player would draw in a trade not Granger IMO.

I think trading for DeRozan makes much more sense for Minny than Granger. Two or three years from now I definitely think he'll be a better player and that would be just about the same time that the rest of the young guys on the Wolves should be approaching their primes as well. Plus, this fills a need for the Wolves, allows them to shift Wes Johnson to his natural position at the SF spot. It leaves Beasley in limbo a little bit but my assumption is that if they can move him, they will.

17ppg at the age of 21. I know he played on a ****ty team but still. I see a lot of Derozan in Paul George they are very similar IMO. They both have very high ceilings. Im a big Derozan fan he is special IMO.

    You're welcome!

    Decent manners for the win!
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!
