Default Which PG should the Pacers draft?

Everyone seems to be all over the place when it comes to the Point Guards in this draft. Some want a scorer, some want a distributor, some want a back-down type PG.

Eliminating Kyrie Irving, Brandon Knight, and Kemba Walker (they'll all be gone by 15), who would you like to see the Pacers get with either their first or second round pick. You can make multiple selections so you can pick who you would like in the first round or the second.

PS - Pretend like we have to pick at our current spots, I don't want this to turn into a Trade talk thread.

I picked Jackson, Hansbrough, Selby, Morris and Mack.

I really like Jackson the most, but Selby is very interesting as well.

I voted for Mack b/c I think he will end up being a steal in this years draft and since it would be his home state he may prefer playing here

I voted for Josh Selby because I feel at the #15 spot you are allowed to take a risk on a high reward player like him.

Reggie Jackson at 15. He has the athleticism, size and defensive potential to be special in a couple of years (a Rondo type player?). Just think in a couple of years when PG and Reggie reach their potential (hopefully!!), that backcourt would be a nightmare for other teams, and would help ease pressure for Hibbert and starting PF.

If we can trade back a little or acquire another first rounder, then Darius Morris.

I didn't vote for Selby, he has talent, but I question his ability to be a floor general. He screams SG in a points body. Doubt he plays much defense either.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!

Rondo? more like a Westbrook or more likley a George Hill type player. I dont think Jackson will ever be as good of floor general as Rondo. That's something your born with. But he shoots the ball much better and may play defense like Rondo plays. He is a gamble but if he has the work ethic to be an elite pg he will be he has a great b ball IQ and physical skills.

From what I've read about Reggie is that he doesn't shoot the ball particularly well and is a good defender. I just don't know about his ability to lead a team. That's why I said Rondo-like, since Rondo can't shoot and plays D.

I say pick Josh Selby if he is still available. Reggie Jackson would be my second choice.

Jackson shot 42% from 3pt land and 50% from the field last year. He really improve from his sophomore year. His only downside in my opinion is his lack of experience he has only been playing pg for 3 years. So it may take him 3 yrs to learn the NBA game and be a good NBA pg. But like George hill he can still play the SG while learning the pg position. Why i believe he could turn into a great pg is the guy is an insanely smart basketball player he has great b ball IQ.

I don't necessarily want us to pick a PG and don't really think we have a problem with that position in general, but out of these guys you have listed, I like the Jimmer, Darius Morris, and Selby. None of whom do I really consider to be true point guards either.

If we take a PG then we need one who can defend at a high level.

Pullen wouldn't be bad coming off the bench, if we could trade back to the last pick in the 2nd rd I would grab him.

You could if he signed with us... but no guarantees, I think that he knows how to run a team and can hit 3's and would really show up off the bench. But that would be his max... a solid bench player.

If I had to actually pick someone and a PG I'm going with Reggie Jackson.

To me, he seems like the best option overall if we keep the pick. The biggest thing is that he's a good defender and would make a decent backup.
