Ehhh, I don't recall Kidd having DRose speed or Westbrook's athleticism. He obviously would've been faster than he is now, but I don't think Kidd's strength ever included blazing speed or hops. He has always been a terrific passer, floor leader, and had great vision.
Do you recall anyone in the NBA having Rose's speed back in 95? Derrick Rose is a freak of nature, as is Russ Westbrook. Player's have continued to get bigger, stronger, and faster in all sports over the past 15-20 years. Kidd was known as one of the quickest players in the NBA when he was a young pup.

Kidd is a HOF right? I guess Reggie didn't make it so I'm not sure.
Jason Kidd's career has dwarfed Reggie's in every way other than 3 pointers (even though Kidd is only 765 3's behind Reggie, and 3rd on the all-time list) and clutch moments. Kidd is a first ballot Hall of Famer, without question.

I think his age helps. He's so damn smart and good with the ball. When was the last time you recall him doing something blatantly dumba$$

"But, first, let us now praise famous moments, because something happened Tuesday night in Indianapolis that you can watch a lifetime’s worth of professional basketball and never see again. There was a brief, and very decisive, and altogether unprecedented, outburst of genuine officiating, and it was directed at the best player in the world, and that, my dear young person, simply is not done."

He and Rose both improved their jumpshot like crazy after the summer. Hopefully DC and Lance have the same mindset and do the same

Kidd's improvement from downtown actually started during his first full season with Dallas. He was down a little bit from three-point range this season (though he's gotten hot a few times this postseason).

And Rose is shooting like 23% from downtown this postseason... brutal. Reggie could hit at a higher clip with a blindfold.
