Default Player Swap Tool (Warning: Addictive)

If you read Ian Levy's article on Nene at Indy Cornrows, you see him mention the "Player Swap" tool that is hosted by Queen City Hoops. He states that replacing Roy Hibbert with Nene last year would have resulted in 16.5 more wins for the Pacers.

I'm not going to explain the tool because I don't really understand it. I will tell you that it uses a ton of stats (just use it once and you'll see). I should warn you, since I found this it has eaten an hour of my life.

SOrt of odd that Josh Smith replacing Tyler gives the Pacers -11 wins. I can't believe that honestly.

I think any player you replace Roy with gives a + win difference according to this tool. Can't buy into the tool too much when it gives us a +31.7 wins if we swap Roy with Greg Oden....

    *EDIT*

However this thing calculates the win totals, something Roy does obviously counts as a huge negative to this tool. I just tried Roy for Ike Diogu to put the tool to the test and it still gave us +12.3 more wins.

    *EDIT #2*

I think its official. I've swapped Roy with the worst player on several other teams and it gave virtually all of the other teams less wins. Thats impressive for Cleveland considering I didn't think it was physically possible for them to loose more than they did this year.

    Mayo for McRoberts -0.4 wins
    Mayo for Rush -4 wins
Bynum for Hibbert +22 wins!!! Crazy.
And Bosh for Hansbrough makes us worse. -2 wins.

Yeah, I think this thing might need some work.

I'm no stats guru so I don't know what the issue is, but they must have some glitch in the setup when it comes to Roy. If you swap him for Hamed Haddadi we win 13 more games?

It has a built in Hibbert Hater equation. I would rather stick to reality.

If I'm Troy, Mike, or Jeffs agent, I'm emailing the link for this tool to all 30 GMs, today.

I can't put much stock into this system if trading Hibbert for Boykins, nets us 18 wins.

I have no idea why results are so skewed on that one. I think swapping Jeff and Darko would hardly change our record. The system seems to appreciate Jeff, Mike, DC, PG, and Tyler while not liking Granger, Hibbert, and Price, but maybe I haven't done enough tests. I thought the most ridiculous one from that batch was Danny Granger for Gerald Henderson = -2.6 wins. Really?

Dont swap DC for Troy. Trust me. you don't want to see the results.

Replacing Dahntay Jones with Josh Smith results in a loss of 9.6 wins for the Pacers.

If we could've convinced the Lakers to trade us Kobe for Dahntay last season, we would've finished with 43-44 wins instead of 37.

    What an enlightening tool.

Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.
