But for what price? Most players are available for the right price; which I am sure in this case is not reasonable.

Also, I think Darren Collison is the point guard of our future. Collison played lights-out throughout our playoff battle. I think he elevated his game and has supplanted himself as a starter, and will one day elevate himself to elite status.

He has two things going against him to be our PG:

    - He sucked in Europe: I wouldn't trust anybody that sucked in Europe.

    - He is too young: we need a veteran so he can bring his leadership and take us to the promise land.

    Vnzla81:

[1] I like the fact that you don't trust anybody that sucked in Europe. That should be a t-shirt. [2] Collison will be a veteran sooner than any point guard veteran becomes available via free agency.

I don't understand the lack of faith in Collison - I just don't. He may be 6'0", but he is the fastest player I have watched handle a basketball, yes that includes you Rondo. I had a coach who use to say, "Speed is the great equalizer." He may have had some ups and downs during the season, but he seemed to become more and more solid down the stretch.

If I were the Pacers, I would invest my money in other avenues. Clearly, the point guard position has been filled between Collison and Price. Anyone who disagrees with that must know the secret to acquiring Williams or Paul. The Pacers clearly need a shooting guard, power forward, and a pair of balls for Roy Hibbert.

Because NBA and Euro-ball is the same thing? Saras did not suck in Europe. So do you want him back?

What is being rumored can be said about almost every NBA player in the NBA except superstars.

anyway they arent gonna trade him unless they get a one sided deal you dont trade Jennings when his stock is at an all time low.

I doubt the Pacers would make an offer he doesnt make any sense here.

No, no, no to Jennings. He has to be one of the most overrated players in the NBA.

I have the same concerns for Jennings that I do for DC, they are both super quick point guards in a league moving to Point Guards who are super fast, but also really strong.

You guys are crazy. Give me Jennings any day. He is only 21 and has higher upside than DC. Europe is a different monster for young PGs. He had a down year last year, made worse by injuries to him and their best player, Bogut. I'm not so quick to forget about his upside or that 50 point game. I doubt I'm the first to say this, but Jennings will have a better career than DC.

Never has someone's reputation rode one monster performance further than Jennings and his 50 point game.

DC and Brandon Jennings are pretty much the same type of player...I'll pass.

I am a Collison supporter, but lights out in the playoffs? Huh?

He averaged 9.4 points, 4 assists, and 2.6 boards on 39.1% FG shooting and 63.6% from the line in 29.2 minutes per game.

Again, I'm totally fine with DC as the starter next year. He had some very good stretches in the playoffs. But let's be real here.

Really? If he is it's by a VERY slim margin. Darren has parts of his game that are superior to Jennings. He's faster and his assist numbers are better. Jennings scores more and gets more rebounds. It's not like Jennings is head and shoulders above DC if he is at all. In fact, they are extremely alike in a lot of ways.

So the 50 point game has no merit? It was his rookie season and he was the youngest person to ever do it. One off year and everyone forgets how much upside this kid has.

I disagree. I think he is much better. He is harder to guard (being a lefty), makes really nice scoop layups around the rim, has more upside (Jennings is over 2 years younger), and when he gets hot watch out. He also has that killer instinct that most of us covet. DC didn't impress me this year. If anything, he had a down year from his rookie season too. I don't think we will see the real Jennings or DC until at least next year.

He is the definition of a chucker. The only way he will ever be an efficient player is if he is coming off the bench.

Jennings has appeared in 145 career games. He's broken 30 points in 7 of them, including the 50+ pt game. Yeah, that just screams "elite scorer with a ton of upside" to me...
