Well, he was certainly interested in him at the trading deadline as an upgrade to the roster. I'd assume he'd still be interested.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Why won't Memphis keep him now?

because if Gay was healthy he wouldnt even be playing.

Mike Wells Indy beat writer said we will do everything within reason to get OJ this summer. If he was just guessing im not sure but he sounded confident in his radio interview.

Mayo played pretty good defense and moved within the offense of Memphis. But when Sefolosha was guarding him he struggled.

I still would not mind having some Mayo. But I would expect Miracle Whip.

I'd be happy to have OJ from next season at least and then look to bring in someone else like Gordon.

I'm sure OJ's price has gone up considering what he has done in the playoffs and what Josh didn't do in the playoffs!

Giving them our first round pick is what probably persuaded them most of all at first to have interest in this deal considering they don't have one.

I've had in mind Josh (S&T), Brandon, 2011 First for Mayo.

Hopefully if he comes here, he brings his rookie self with him.

I'll go for a good deal for Mayo, but I don't see him as being such a vital addition after what I saw from Paul George. I'm more concerned about getting a good PF/C.

If we do get Mayo what would be the need to get Gordon? He is a good player but some u guys seem like u only want him cause he is hometown boy. OJ is just as good or better, his defense is highly underrated. I was watching the game and he gets real low when guarding his man. U guys are comparing his defense to Tony Allen.

proably but Granger doesnt like many people i would think after a few inccidents this season. Like with Barboasa because he shot at the last second he wanted to punch him.

If Granger really is that mentaly weak that he will refuse to play with some one that would be sad(im pretty sure that isnt the case)

Danny did throw the ball at OJ during their last meeting it was

I didn't think much of that scuffle.

Danny is a reasonable guy and hopefully OJ is too. He seems like a good guy. Just a little confused and still finding his place.

I'd love to get mayo if we don't have to give up Danny, PG, Hibbert, Hans, or DC. I am pretty sure we'd have to include one of our young talented core to get EJ.

I'm still a little concerned with having two knuckleheads (and no strong player leader) in the locker room.

As long as they don't play cards on the plane, I'm sure it'll be fine.

it seemed to me that bird was interested in mayo as a target of opportunity rather than someone he had been looking at for a long time. the pacers do need a guy like mayo. a guy that can create his own shot. but i don't think bird wants mayo specifically. there are about a billion guys that can create their own shot. that description covers almost all combo type guards. getting one of them is cheaper and easier than mayo right now. so i do not expect the pacers to target mayo specifically this summer.

I think OJ is exactly the type of player the Pacers need. I don't see how you could disagree with that if you have watched OJ much at all. Even if these playoffs were your introduction to him. He does everything that Danny and PG don't do well and would, in my opinion, let us completely forget about our wings for the next 3 or 4 years at least.

If the Pacers get Mayo, I would guarantee either him or PG would win the 6th man award in the next two seasons. Teams who have the 6th man are usually pretty good teams.

I would like to know who you think you can get that is cheapier and easier to get than Mayo. Combo guards like him are not a dime a dozen. Mayo is a perfect fit for the pacers, he just needs to keep his mouth shut. Our teams positive attitude could and should rub off on him if we get him, so I am not to worried about his attitude anyway.

No, he isn't. Gordon is significantly better than Mayo.
