No I haven't. I'm more of a Pandora and Slacker guy myself.
I was a huge Pandora guy as well. I found Jango the other night while I was at work and it is pro as hell. You should really look into and add me if you get a chance to check it out.

Give Slacker.com a try. It's better than Pandora in my opinion.

Ha, these guys, they were one of the biggest local acts when I was in high school. I was about 30-40 mins away from Lancaster where they are from. Then their original guitarist ended up at Penn State and I would always seem him around at parties and such.

I'd like to do something cool with this. If you have bought the CD, take a picture of you holding it and post it in this thread.. If you bought it from itunes, put the album on a playlist and name it after your screen name, ex: Constellations Leveler

You don't have too, but this would be really cool as ABR fans. I'm just in a better mood when my favorite bands come out with new records : )

Just finished "Leveler" for the first time. My first reaction was that I really like it, but wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I think my favorite song so far is "Cutting the Ties". I'm about to listen to it for the second time here soon.

    EMPIRE
This is one of those songs that I like more and more each time I hear it. The intro is pretty cool and the solos are pretty solid. My favorite part of the song has to be the lyrics though. I believe it has that underlying theme that we can build our own personal empire as large as we want and however we want others to see it as long as we follow what is in our heart. Too many people today listen to more of what others have to say and lose our creativity to create a unique "empire" of how we are remembered.

    4/5 stars.

    Song Discussion

    EMPIRE
Let's be honest, no ABR album is going to start off as good as "Thirty and Seven" from "Constellations
". But for some reason Empire had it's own way of setting the tone for the new album. One word, Maturity.

Although this song isn't the traditional heavy in your face opener ABR usually delivers, I respect it just as much. They tried to do something different than the past, and un-like most, they succeeded.

The songs beginning riffs are your ABR bread and butter structure and tempo, which I was pleased with, until 1:58. When it hit I asked myself, "What the hell?", and I loved it. Shooting from the choir to a solo followed by a break down is nothing but pure EPIC ABR.

You feel the song begin to clime the climax mountain, resulting in a vintage ABR outro breakdown followed by a slick walk around by JB to take the song home.

    Overall rating: 5/5

Notes: 5/5 may be a bold rating for this somewhat un-orthodox ABR song, but just remember, when a band still surprises you with cold chills when you think you have them all figured out, is an indication of a masterpiece.

    Song Discussion

    INTERNAL CANNON

A fret work of art in the beginning leading to our good ol' teeth grinding breakdown.
After 35-40 seconds of our traditional ABR structure they re-visited ground from "Ocean of Apathy" at 1:05. It won me over then, and it claimed me once again. JB's fret work on this part just makes me smile like 5-year-old with candy.

When the song takes launch after 15 seconds of grooviness it gets you back into the fighting stance! I'm punching and swinging and yelling and then a fade into, you guessed it, actually no you did'nt. NOT EVEN CLOSE. Who lives in the grooviest pineapple under the sea? August Burns Red, and who's down for some Mexican food? Yeah me too. From 2:02 - 2:36 I'm dancing like a boss. Only one thing lacking from this part, "it could have used a little more cowbell."

Just when the song seems to have achieved the highest peak on mount epicness, it builds itself higher. The song finishes with a silky smooth solo filled with wonderful drum fills from Matt as Jake takes us home with his commanding drill Sargent vocals.

    Overall rating: 5/5

Notes: Back to Back 5/5's. First time in a long time. You should never under estimate ABR
