Rise Against is my favorite band.
I haven't had much chance to listen to them, but from what I have heard they sound good.

    What is your favorite album/song?

They are a great band. I don't throw courtesy shout outs either. I can actually sit, listen, and enjoy them.

I thought I was the only person on here(this forum) that listened to hardcore/metal bands haha. So ****ing rad. Ive used to do vocals for a hardcore band called For the fallen dreams and we've got to tour with august burns red and as I lay dying. There all good guys and same goes with oh sleeper.

Have you guys listened to haste the day? There local metal band from indianapolis.

All I listen to and play is metal(screaming music)

Ive been doing vocals for about 8 years now.

Like I said, its just good to see some other pacer fans enjoying the type of music that I enjoy.

My buddy used to play in a band called Fall Of Dusk. I used to lug equipment and was my buddies guitar tech. Played Emerson a few times. Mostly The Crump Theatre in Columbus. Made quite a few trips to Bulldogs Cafe in KY, good times.

You'd be surprised how wide my range is on metal.

Which is exactly why I made this thread. I was unsure as well, but if there were some, this would be a good discussion forum for the dedicated few lol.

I remember the crump theater. Like 6 years ago was the last time I played there and not sure if they still do shows. That building(theater) was so creepy and cool as ****. We'd explore that place and go up in the rafter area all the time. Swear it was haunted.... Love it haha.

Whats your fav metal band of the 2000 era? Mine would be Killswitch engage. There such an inspiration to me. That and AsI lay dying but I voted August burns red cuz well there just as good. Thrill seeker is my fav album by ABR.

We always did the love the Crump. It actually is haunted btw lol.

My friend and I always played guitar together around 04-05. We were inspired to start playing metal (Which led to my love for the genre, immediately hooked). If I had to peg a band(s) that changed everything and inspired me the most, it would probably be Lamb of God and Trivium.

If every one would just give metal a chance it would change many lives haha no joke. I just totally blessed to grow up in this era of music. Lamb of god and trivum are some of my all time fav metal bands as well. Light to flys by trivum is a beast of a song.

Im actually pretty stoked to see you and and King george representing haha

It always makes me happy to see others enjoy a genra as much as I do.

Not to get all lovey about it lol, but it's actually more than just music to me. I don't think I'm alone in it. Like you said, if people would just give it a chance, it really puts you in a world of your own. I love it. Like Light to Flies is great, but the entire Ascendancy is amazing. It's nice to have another Pacer fan represent, I thought KG and I were alone lol.

My friends Greg, Craig (Guitar buddy) and I are notorious around the metal crowd there lol. We were the one responsible for the Metal Vs. Juggalo night. Bunch of pussy ICP fans showed one night and started talking **** about metal and saying all the bands that had played that night were **** and what not. There were like 5 of them ***s, so us 3 got all the band members from dusk and some others and threatend to beat the **** out of them if they didn't leave LOL. So greg pisses in there gas tank, kicks their mirrors off and stomps there hood in. They probably went home and cried like little baby *****es.

Best part. When we went to threaten them, they were all like little skinny emo-like kids. our buddy David is like 6'6 and 260, and Chris, the bassist, is about 6-4 and 300. They about **** their pants when they seen all of us walking up. Good times...

The thing is, around the metal scene at the Crump, that ICP shiit just didn't fly. The ICP crowd just never stood a chance, who knows how the scene is there now without Craig,Greg, Dusk I out there now, but from about 2006-2010, not a chance. I just don't see anything remotely interesting in dudes with clown painted faces drinking Faygo and breathing heavy into the mic if they take more than 3 steps at a time.

I work with one of my ex-girlfriends and she used to give me so much crap for listening to hard rock/metal music.

I found out today that she has been listening to BFMV and Five Finger Death Punch. Makes me want to throw her into a mosh pit, and show her what rock is really about.
