I work with one of my ex-girlfriends and she used to give me so much crap for listening to hard rock/metal music.

I found out today that she has been listening to BFMV and Five Finger Death Punch. Makes me want to throw her into a mosh pit, and show her what rock is really about.

Sadly enough, FFDP hardly qualifies as metal to me. BFMV for sure.

I agree, but I still like the sound of throwing an ex-girlfriend in a mosh pit.

Any reason you limit yourself to only christian music? I understand you're a hardcore christian, but what's the reason for the limitation.
Well, it's hard to stay faithful to God, so any time I listen to music, I may as well listen to something that will lift my spirits high. Plus, Christian music artists are so annointed with the spirit that their talent level is amazing.

I understand, I didn't mean any disrespect or anything btw. I am a christian myself, maybe not to the hardcore extent as yourself, which I respect. Although I don't limit myself to a certain type of metal. I will say I do NOT listen to bands that really punch the needle such as Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, etc etc.

I must say though, bands such as Haste The Day, August Burns Red, As I lay Dying, and War Of Ages play with an strong and passionate emotion. Them being a christian band is just a stronger + to me. I do respect your choices strongly.

The bands I listed above are by far the bands I listen to the most ( all the time actually lol ) I will also throw some Unearth, Trivium, In flames, and a few others into my playlists from time to time. And I've heard the whole, "Their lyrics point at god in negative ways here and there" , but to be honest with you, I really listen to Metal because of the musical talent and influence. I really only pay attention the lyrics from my favorite bands.

I haven't had much chance to listen to them, but from what I have heard they sound good.

    What is your favorite album/song?
The Sufferer & The Witness is my favorite CD, but Paper Wings is my favorite song.

I definitely do, more so as a teenager growing up. My favorite skillet song would be "hero".... so catchy

I like them. They aren't on my Itunes or anything, but I can listen to them.If I had to throw a favorite song out there, I'd have to say "Awake and Alive".

Tom Morello is a musical genius. He is the only rock artist that I can think of that went to Harvard. Lol.
