    Default Is this ridiculous?

Danny Granger + #15 for Pau Gasol

If Bynum could stay healthy it'd be a pretty sick lineup for the Lakers.

    new point guard
    kobe
    danny
    odom
    bynum

Maybe in the trade you sub Hansbrough for the 15 and trade the 15 for Mayo.

    collison
    mayo
    PG
    gasol
    hibbert

Just an idea. No idea if it would be a good trade.

At the start of the playoffs, most thought Pau was the best PF in the NBA (ridiculous considering that Dirk has been that title holder for like half a decade now...), anyway his horrible playoffs really hurt him in my eyes.

I don't think it's ridiculous value wise. I also don't think LA would do it because any trade that results in you absolutely needing 70+ games out of Bynum going forward is a bad plan.

As soon as the Lakers series was over and heard of Pau Gasol likely traded (or the Lakers blowing up their team) I thought that the Pacers should make a play for him.

Then I look at his salary. He is owed nearly 20 million a year for the next 3 seasons. I say no thanks.

You do that if the Lakers are willing, but I think they'll keep Pau and trade Bynum. I don't think it would be wise to trade both of their best bigs during the same summer.

Not necessarily ridiculous, I think Granger would make a fantastic sidekick for Kobe. I actually hate it from our perspective though. Pau has already proven not to be a first banana, and putting him next to Roy gives us a Charmin soft frontcourt.

Did you know that Bynum makes $15M+? I was cracking up, they are paying $15M for 60% of the season, 10-15 points and 6-10 rebounds...

And great point whoever noted that Gasol/Hibbert is incredibly soft. We would get ABUSED inside.

I'd rather have Marc any day of the week.

Oh, and as much as I can't stand him, can't be terribly hard on Pau when he has to play alongside a volume scorer (Kobe) and a terrible point guard (Fisher). Tough to reach your potential when one member of the backcourt is bombing shots at a 20-30/game pace, and the other is an awful defender, sub par shooter and poor distributer.

I think the trade is fair, but I see the Lakers going after Howard... something like Bynum and Pau for Gilbert and Howard.

When I first heard all the rumors about the Lakers should blow things up, I thought to myself this team could use Pau Gasol (and I hate the guy), but I agree with the post above he'll only be moved to a team like the Magic for Howard.

Though he didn't play up to his capabilities, the Lakers would only move him in a big deal for a superstar, and still may not.

I think they'll try moving Bynum, Odom and of course Artest first.

Dr. Buss is still in love with Bynum his "personal project"
