It just seems kind of pointless to take a plane from Indy to Chicago.

Then again, I'm not a NBA player and it's probably better security.

    Thanks for the info though.

On plane its a half hour (I've gone that route a couple of times but from Chicago to Indy)

On bus its like 3 hours and given how bad Lafayette looked last night I'm glad they took the plane.

they took a plane. they need to be greeted. Fans of OKC last year did it. Why not us?

You're kidding right? This is a frontrunning sports town our stadium was composed of Bulls fans(mostly) in Game 4 you think they're going to greet the team coming home?

I take it you forgot the 11 people showing up when the Colts lost the SB and they came home.

(Personally I don't think you're less of a fan if you don't show up to greet them its a stupid tradition if I ever heard one not everyone has that kind of time)

So what was the cool story about Mcroberts that Pacero alluded to?

I'm glad some people went at least. Probably means more to the players than we know.

I was under the weather and couldn't make it. All I know is Area 55er kielbeze sent me this message on the twitter:

"we met the guys at the landing pad josh is my new hero"

How is it a stupid tradition if both the fans and players enjoy it? I like the idea, and it sounds like the people who went had a memorable time.

Josh was the only player who came up and acknowledged me after the game in DC this season. I'm guessing he was cool with them.

We did go to the airport terminal last night. It was awesome we waited around for about an hour until they got there. So to kill time we played a game what car belongs to what player. There was a Hummer with Texas plates. A Rover with no plates. A truck with North Carolina tags on the back and a camo UNC plate on the front. A lexus with Kentucky plates. A Mercedes Benz with Kansas Plates. Okay so the game was not that hard but, sure was fun. The guys all came out of the terminal and greeted us all hung out to chat a little bit. We got to pet King. it was a blast Coach Frank Is still the man. He looked as if it was his worst day ever but when he saw us he smiled from ear to ear and said WOW!

BTW Josh gave the biggest reaction but that is due to me telling him
I was glad he did not back down to that #$!%#% he laughed I told him I want to see him back next year and he said "This is where I want to be. No Where else."

I am glad we could be there. I was upset that there was only 6 of us there but Its not like you just get to walk into the airport like the old days and see the team. It took an inside source to get directions to where they land. so I am sure they were surprised to see anyone at all out there. Thanks to Chris Denari for the well drawn out map on the back of his head shot! lol

Awesome pics and great the players were so cool. Wish I wasn't sick!

This picture is definitely the best picture of the season and will go down in history. Brkyrd trying to make out with Paul George... I didn't know he had it in him.

Our arena, their arena, Rucker park, it just doesn't matter. We're bigger, longer, younger, faster, and hungrier.

Mr George looks dapper! Nice sense of style. That is how a young NBA (future) star should look after a game. Way to represent the Indiana Pacers!

I'm so happy somebody got to go. Judging by the smiles on their faces I think it really did mean something to them. Honestly it may have been the first time they smiled after the loss. Thank you for going and showing them support.
