Thread: Our Strategy

    Default Our Strategy

Tire them out on offense in the first half?

Just kidding... the game is early, they should cool down and we should heat up.

I hope we get our starters back out there.

We're playing terrible. It's almost all mental mistakes too.. very frustrating. Hibbert really needs to stop playing so damn soft, he's the biggest guy on the court and he lets people like taj gibson drive into him right to the rim, he needs to play alot bigger and use his size and actually rebound and bang down low.

Our post players and offense is so bad it's almost hard to watch. So out of funk.

I know this board loves him, but my god, we need to find a replacement for Mcbob.

Roy reminds me of how frustrated I used to get with Smits early in his career. But we surely need another quality big.

Hopefully they come out in the 2nd half and play like it actually is their last game of the season. They really didn't play too well in the first half, lucky to be within 8. I think they had something like 10-11 turnovers in 1 half. Hopefully we can establish some consistent offense and maintain some defensive intensity.

Anyone else notice that when we have the final possession of the quarter or shot clock we always settle for the most terrible shots? I don't think I've seen us get a good look or bucket this entire series when we've had the last possession of a quarter.

For all I care he play Rush, George, and Jones all at once. At least they've done some positive stuff and are trying to play D.

Granger just keeps dribbling it off his foot and giving up steals. DC with a stellar job on the last offensive possession. Roy MIA.

Tyler's the only inside guy giving us anything.

Priority one should be picking up these 4th fouls.

Speaking of our strategy, Vogel has said repeatedly that the key to our offense is ball movement. So why are we playing so much one-on-one ball? We seem to be running an iso for Granger every other play, not to mention Price and Jones have played a lot of one-on-one as well.

No doubt. However, this is by far the best defense the Bulls have played in the series. So that's at least part of it.

That's the one decent thing right now, we did get some fouls called them.

Our strategy? What strategy? The strategy that Hibby and DC are no shows! I getting real tired of Hibbert not being able to get himself straightened out. If he's this fragile, then w/o a doubt the Pacers need a replacement, and he can be the b/u C. This is the most IMPORTANT game in his career, and he just can't handle it. Pressure and Hibbert shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

I'm totally surprised the Pacers are only down by 8 at half time. Some players had better dig down deep inside if this is to be made into a game. We'll see who has it inside them and who doesn't. This series should tell Bird what he needs to know about in regards to where needs to be made for next season.

    A) Starting PF

    B) Another scorer

    C) B/U Center... one who preferably can play PF too.

    D) B/U PG

As long as we keep getting the ball in the paint, and don't revert to shooting jumpers, this should come right down to the final minutes.

Pretty much. I'm so tired of Hibbert, he plays far too soft. He needs to play like he's 7'2. It's a bummer Zach Randolph resigned with the grizzlies.

The crazy thing is he is playing right into our hands, and he is still killing us. We want him settling for long threes. All you can do is shake his hand if he's going to make those.

Looks like the new strategy is to start cheap-shotting people when you can't compete fairly.
