Default Email from the NBA: officiating

Sent the email below tongue in cheek the other day. Do not know why I bothered, but I was kind of curious if the NBA would even respond. They did. Response below
    FROM: VAPACERSFAN

    MESSAGE:
    I just read today (
http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=6409539) that the NBA is reviewing Jeff Fosters fouls on Rose and Deng. Since the NBA cares so much about this series, I was wondering if the punch to the face by Carlos Boozer was going to be reviewed. Perhaps even the Thomas elbow to the head of Hansborough as well. Would love to see the NBA step away from the love fest for Chicago and maybe admit they blew two calls...and gasp....maybe review both sides.

    Dear VA:

Thank you for contacting the National Basketball Association regarding the league’s disciplinary policies.

NBA games are extremely competitive and intense, which can result in very physical play. While we understand that emotions sometimes run high, we take infractions of NBA rules very seriously. Please know that we closely review each game and follow up with appropriate disciplinary action as we strive to uphold league rules and promote good sportsmanship.

We understand your concern and appreciate your feedback regarding this issue.

    Sincerely,

    NBA Fan Relations

Sounds like a generic "we'll respond to shut you up" email.

Your email was deleted almost instantaneously by the NBA Fan Relations customer service rep shortly after he stated that he didn't know people in Indianapolis could write a grammatical sentence.

Better then a "we will delete because we do not care about you" [non] response....right?

That probably wasn't even a human responding.

He doesn't deserve a human response considering how condescending and disrepectful his e-mail was.

Nope, but I shouldn't have commented. I'm trying to remember if I was this irrational when the Pistons were in the playoffs. I'd like to think I wasn't, but it's been 3 years (and counting), so maybe I was and just can't remember.

He's past his time in the league. We need someone new (Adam Silver).

Okay, now I completely feel like an idiot. I didn't read "tongue-in-cheek" at the beginning of the post.

Vapacersfan, and anyone else, I apologize. That was stupid.

    No worries.

Like I said, just funny they replied. I wouldn't have, but maybe they just figured if they send a reply they would get great publicity.

I would never post such a thing to my friends so that the NBA could get publicity from it and show what a great league they are and how David Stern is not Satan.....oh #$%%^

Is it me, or does David Stern kinda look like Yoda. Maybe his (darksider) twin brother. Hmmm.

That response is probably saved into the Notepad thing on the computer and was copied and pasted.

"Chances are at least 50/50 no human ever saw your email." -- I actually wrote asking this question and someone wrote back that they do read them! Underling seems to have a sense of humor too.

The conduct response seems canned, but I never even received a response from the NFL in October.

Besides just the normal fact of them trying to just shut you up and shoving your concersn aside, this basically reads to me as a big "F you, we have our new pretty boy in Rose, we will try to make Rose the next greatest thing since Jordan, and if need be we will let Rose get away with murder out on the court." I do thank you for actually sending in an email to them. I can't believe they wouldn't even review any of the maliciousness by the Bulls--well, actually I can because once again, they seem to love Rose & Chicago more than they[Stern] ever loved LeBron in Cleveland. This is just downright ridiculous.
