Steve Nash is still a top 15 player. He almost made the playoffs in the West with really a terrible supporting cast that would have competed for the worst record in the league even if they had a decent starting point.

Put it this way. If you had to build around a particular player who you got Durant or love?

Yes love puts up godly stats but as of right now hes not a top tier player.

Heck i would even put LMA before love. Ultimately team record is usually a good measure of how a great player can help his team. You take lebron away from the Cavs they go from a 61 win to a 19 win team. you take love away from the wolves they would probably hover around same record.

...which would be relevant if we were putting together a top-5 list, and not top-15....

You take lebron away from the Cavs they go from a 61 win to a 19 win team.
    ....and Shaq...and Varejao...and Illgauskas....and Mo Williams.....

I love how people act like it's the exact same Cavs team as last year, minus LeBron. They lost 5 of their top 8 in the rotation from 2010, and Jamison was hurt half the season.

The exact same roster minus LeBron wins a lot more than 19 games. Nowhere near 61, but they'd compete for a playoff spot.

Jamison and Varejao being hurt killed them.

When you're relying on JJ Hickson and Ryan Hollins(You've heard of this guy, haven't you Kstat?) to be your paint presence you're not gonna win more than 30 games.

I would actually put Mo Williams in the scrubs category. He benefited from playing of Lebron, sure, but he couldn't step up and be the man. People complain about Danny not being a Batman, Mo shouldn't even be Aquaman. Once they traded him for Baron they were a different team. A team that could run sets and had a legit floor leader.

Mo's not a real PG, but he had his moments, and deserved to be an all-star in 2009. He's not a floor leader, but rebounded nicely in LA. He should have a nice stint on the Clips.

Exactly. The problem was that he was asked to be something he's not in Cleveland. I don't consider him a terrible player, quite the contrary, but he responded horribly to being "the Man".

Really? Do you really think having varejao and illgauskas would equal 20 more wins for the cavs? I think shaq would agree he did nothing at all in clevland other than make things harder on lebron.

The Cavs went from a very big team to a very small one when they lost Shaq, Z and Varejao. The strength of that team was its interior defense.

Shaq and Jamison both got in LeBron's way, but without him they would have been bigger factors.

Shaq is what 39? Everytime he steps on the court he hurts himself. No way he lasts a 82 game season.

I dont think jamison is far behind him either.
