Default So this is why PG was so aggressive last night?

Danny Granger led seven Pacers in double figures with 25 points and rookie Paul George, who exchanged trash talk with Crawford on Twitter and just before tip-off, added 23.

“He got a lot of easy looks, a lot of open shots — actually, all of them did,” Crawford said. “If they getting free throws and open shots, it’s no way we can beat them. It’s simple, that first quarter killed us. We wasn’t tired. We didn’t have no excuse.”
    lol
If thats what it takes to make PG play like he did last night, then I hope someone talks trash to him before every game

Maybe we can have Brenner do that thing again he used to do with Reg, scream all in PG's mug!

by the way what the **** is up with your grammer bro? Im not a big stickler for the kings english, but dam Crawford, get a PR rep or somethin somethin

Don't know about much trash talk, I do remember Crawford tweeted "3 in a row" after there win Tuesday, and PG responded with something along the lines of "That ends tomorrow bro"

If you tell him he is the first option(not gonna happen) he will be agressive. His coach at Fresno had a meeting with him after his freshman year and told him you are the guy and he got more aggresive. He is playing passive because he wants to fit in when the starters and they dont call many plays for him. I would like us to make him the #1 option for the rest of the regular season to give him more confidence going into the playoffs .

I seriously think that it had something to do with the Hayward thread. Deadly serious.

Is that a coincidence or what? Not only was there a thread on here about Hayward, but there was also one about PG's trade value. That's why I just started a thread suggesting we trade Hibbert. Maybe it will work for him too! lol

I think 95% of it was the atrocious "defense" the Wizards were playing.

Whatever it was, it worked. I agree that we should let him be the first option for the rest of the regular season so we can see how much of a boss he can be. Also, let Lance have plenty of time and let him be a leading option when he's on the court. I want to see what he can do.

Starters: Lance/Rush/PG/Tyler/Josh for the last three games of the season. At least it'll be kinda fun.

Our arena, their arena, Rucker park, it just doesn't matter. We're bigger, longer, younger, faster, and hungrier.

Ya Jordan Crawford is really good on offense but his defense is terrible. He will be a good player though for where he was picked Jamal Crawford type player.

Well... in that case let's get Mark Jackson in here to coach or in the front office or something because he always knew how to push Reggie's buttons and get him in game mode....
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

    You forgot one.

I think attendance was even questionable. There was more phoning in than season 2 of American Idol.

Fans should get their money back since it was the Pacers against a D-league team.

18 of his points were from 3 pointers he gets against everybody, and usually had been struggling with. He was just hot from the outside.

Seriously that was nice to see and I do think he's getting back on track a little, much like DC and AJ have recently.

But Josh has been playing like the cat's butt and even he was gifted 3-4 escorted to the rim dunks. I think I saw him tip one of the Wizards one time.*

The Generals were offended by that effort.

Anytime you give up 136 points to this Pacer team = your family pet should be offended! They should be ashamed to pick up their game checks for that one. Of course we know that is not reality!

This is what I was thinking. I didn't necessarily see a difference in PG24's aggressiveness, but maybe he was more assertive, determined, focused, dialed in what ever you wanna call it. He looked the same physically to me, except the shots were dropping. Smooth shooting stroke, and usually strong around the rim.

To paraphrase Paul with Stacy on the floor after the game. She asked about seeing his shot starting to fall. His response was something like "yea (agreeing it's been rough) but I'm glad my shot is falling now as opposed to the middle of the season, or the beginning for that matter." So lets hope Paul is sensing he's about to have a solid month of good shooting!

Also Denari mentioned the Pacers having a "spirited practice" at the Hinkle Fieldhouse the day before the game. Maybe that was a factor too. When teams have good practices it can reflect in the game. Not sure just a thought.

Thats pretty much the same thing as agressive. I mean he wasnt passing up shots like he would normaly pass up. To me thats being more agressive and thats good i hope he keeps it up.

Yea I agree. I was thinking the same thing after i wrote it. I guess I meant he was being more mentally aggressive than physical (not passing up shots etc...). When I hear the term aggressive I automatically relate it with physicality.
