Default Brad Stevens as our coach

Any chance Brad Stevens could become our next coach? I can't think of a better candidate.

If there was any NBA team he'd prefer it would probably be the Pacers, but he's not leaving Butler.

I want Butler coach Brad Stevens to become the head coach of my New York Knicks. I'm dead serious. Smart coach who demands defense.

what if the pacers offered him a job though? all he wants to do is live in Indianapolis with his family. if Stevens was our coach, we would probably be challenging for a 5 seed this season.

Nah, I doubt he wants to coach a bunch of crybabies that routinely take nights off.

He would have to take a big pay cut.

Stevens is such a phenomenal leader though. if there is anyone who could get through to the Pacers, it would be Brad. i wish that I had one tenth of one percent of his leadership skills.

They might listen to Brad since he's 34.

He's good for the college game. Unless he ultimately dreams of being an NBA coach and dealing with its WWE style of basketball I say leave him be where his talents will have the most impact.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

He's by far the best coach of all the sports teams pro or college in the state of Indiana but I don't think he has an interest in the NBA.

I'd see him bolting for IU before that happens.

How many proven coaches are there in the NBA though?

Rivers, Jackson(who will retire), Popovich are the only ones with rings currently in the league.

Everyone else is someone new. At some point the retreads are just that

He wouldn't last in the NBA, and he is not going to be at Butler much longer either.

Smart coach - sounds like one who stays w/ College IMO - the Pro's are for those w/ ego's, not someone who wants to coach, grow, & develope young men. The world needs it's Coach K's & T.Izzo's. Let Brad be that & be happy!

If I were Stevens, I definitely wouldn't want the job. I don't care if it's an upgrade in pay. They may erect a statute of him at Butler. He might keep his job at Butler for 30 years.
