Don't know who watched, listened to, or went to the game yesterday Sun 04/17/2011. Volquez didn't get off to a good start again. Several ways to fix that problem but how important is long term health.

I believe 100% Jay Bruce needs to benched for Heishey today. His base running single handly lost the Reds that game. That was worse than bases loaded and no runs.

Heisey is good. But I don't think it's time to be calling for Bruce to sit.

From what I hear Leake was caught stealing 6 shirts from Macys. I didn't see this coming at all, he seems like such a mature kid. Gotta say I lost a little bit of respect for him. The whole thing is just silly and unnecessary.

Really? That's not unnecessary, that's pathetic.

Homer Bailey will be back Thursday. Cueto soon after that. The starting pitching has struggled. Hopefully they solve the problem. There is no reason to not be winning the division by @ least 3 games right now.

They have lost too many series recently Pitt, Arizona, & now Florida. I know Rolen is out and Bruce was slumping in past weeks but they have to take advantage of the Cardinals slumping and not give that veteran team hope.

Fred Lewis is healthy and back in action. He is a solid veteran with some speed. He got a pinch hit HR yesterday.

Edison needs a quality start against the Cubs. Reds must get 2 of 3. Lance Berkman's HR in the 8th got the Cards a W yesterday. The Red's should have just signed him because he has been a Reds Killer his whole career.

Took 2 of 3 from the Cubs. Good to see. Should've swept them, but Coco reverted back to his 2010 form on Saturday.

Cordero made it up with an outstanding close to yesterday's 2-0 win.

Cards still winning though. I am not worried about Co Co Cordero. Nick Massett hasn't been drummed recently. That is a good sign b/c he was very rocky early.

Volquez had another rocky start Friday.

I still cringe everytime Dusty calls his name.

Travis Wood had a VERY impressive outing last night against Houston. He also hit a 3-run HR.

Our Starting Pitching has been very impressive the past couple outings. Good to see. Bronson looks like he's finally getting over that Mono.

I'm gonna go out on a huge limb here: that Joey Votto guy might become a solid baseball player.

If he continues at this level he has a serious shot at repeating as MVP.

On another note, I am going to pretend that the Cubs thread doesn't exist .

Swept the Cardinals. Lead the Central. Start a series against the Cubs. Still early in the season. Massett pitched well Friday evening. Chapman had a bad game, it happens. I don't mind Cordero talking trash after striking out Berkman. Cards vs Reds should Trump Yanks vs Red Sox.

I am beyond worried about Edison. I don't know if he will turn this around this season. Mike Leake got sent to AAA Louisville. If Edison continues to struggle do you move him down? He went from All Star game to ???? as fast as Barry Zito.

Wow what has happen to Jay Bruce his swing looks terrible now. Has it been like this all season? his fundamentals make Fonso's look perfect. This game has been frustrating for both offenses. Pretty sad that i now expect it we are terrible this year at scoring runs we have no speed and cant run the bases and cant hit with RISP. We should be out of contention pretty soon we play terrible baseball all around.

    Anyways..........

I am assuming that Cubs fans don't want to talk about the 7 unearned runs.

Im use to it like Quade said we shoot ourself in the foot way to much. I turned the game off after the Pena error just sad to watch the same thing over and over again just bad baseball. I wish we could trade the whole team besides Barney and Castro but thats not gonna happen.
