Thank God I don't have any class on Thursday. I'm ready for some Reds baseball.

Same here. I'm off work that day, so I'll be watching the game at home with my girl (who I turned into a Reds fan last summer).

I expect big things out of Bruce this year and a nice leap from Stubbs as well. I'm excited for Reds baseball. We aren't sneaking up on anybody this year, so it will be interesting to see how we react with a target on our backs. I won't attend a baseball game until it's warm though. Can't sit outside that long and freeze my butt off.

Yeah sitting through games when it's cold is not fun at all. The only game I got to go to last season was in early October and it was cold and rainy the whole game. Luckily Bruce cranked 2 homers so I was able to have some sort of happiness that day.

Yeah I went to the Civil Rights Game last year against the Cardinals, only game I made it to. It was awesome. That was the game that ended when one of the Cardinals got thrown out at home plate for the final play of the game.

Yep. It was made clear to him when he signed with the Reds that Janish was the guy at SS. The organization covets defense.

World Series MVP to backup wow. But he did struggle in the regular season last year. Isnt Paul janish just a stop gap i mean he isnt your guys long term starter right.

I don't think so, no. I don't follow baseball nearly as close as I do basketball, but I believe the Reds have a couple of guys in their farm system who they have high hopes for at shortstop.

Ya thats what meant he is just a stop cap untill one of the prospects is ready for the bigs. I think it is Zack Cozart but i dont know how long till he is ready.

Yeah I believe that is one of them, I think there are two highly regarded guys there. Cozart has a year or two (at least) until he's ready.

am i the only one who thoght that was a bad call at 3rd? They also made a bad call in the OF when Kotasy caught the ball and they said he trapped it. It was a very fun game to watch and im glad i did but i couldnt belive some of thoes calls.

The Kotsay catch was a bad call. The play at 3rd was not. You have 3 feet of space on either side of the path that you start on. Phillips wasn't 3 feet away from his original path. The umpire made the correct call on that play. The Kotsay play was just a terrible call from the 1st base umpire.

Volquez needs to quit being given starts on important games. In fact, I think Volquez just needs to quit being given starts, period.

With that said, OMG RAMON HERNANDEZ, **** YEAH!

And in regards to SS, I like Janish. He's a good hitter, and a TERRIFIC fielder. Potential to be in the discussion for a Gold Glove.

Volquez is fine, still 161 games left. Keep in mind Cincy is not a pitchers' park. Pitchers will give up homeruns @ Great American Ball Park.

Janish is just a tad better than Adam Rosales. Don't expect too much out him offensively. Gomes had another error in the outfield.
