The Big Red Machine, Chris Sabo's goggles, and Jonny Gomes beg to differ

And besides, if Joey Votto says it, it's the truth!

I'm more worried about the Brewers than the Cardinals or Cubs this year.

Okay.. So I've never followed baseball. I want to be a Red's fan but I don't understand baseball that much. Can anyone open me up and tell me about this roster, how the league goes, etc.. I know it's a hassle but I just don't know how to get started.

Ok so your head is in the right place. Indiana sports fans, if they want to follow MLB are morally obligated to follow the Reds. Prior connections, similar atmosphere as Indy, etc.

The only time when it would be ok to root for a different team is if you live in Northwest Indiana it would certainly be ok if you were a Sox fan.

You will find that all true Indiana fans that follow baseball are Reds fans. Almost everyone of them. In other words, they didn't just decide to jump on a specific bandwagon for douchey reasons.

It is worth noting that the Reds consider Indianapolis baseball fans a part of their fanbase- The connection is there, so root accordingly if you want to watch baseball.

Also, just to be clear for future reference, people from Indiana that:

are Cubs fans, are giant d-bags.
are Red Sox fans, are traitors who are nothing more than Bendict Arnold's illegitimate offspring.
are Yankees fans, have no soul.

    Now you know!

Again im not a clipper fan I am an Eric Gordon fan and would like his team to win. Tom Glavine was on that 1990 Braves team. Freddie Freeman and Heyward are nice

That's not an Eric Gordon or Blake Griffin icon in your sig. That's a Clippers logo.

A Braves fan from Indy? Did you like their colors or something when you were a kid?

Born in Indy, raised a military brat, now living here again. Was first introduced to baseball when I was living on an Air Force base in Georgia. Hence the loyalties.

Lifelong Pacers, Colts, and oddly enough, Braves fan.

How about since this is a Cincinnati Reds thread, we keep things to that? Seems like a simple enough concept.

Miguel Cairo gets in the game and is money again. Automatic. Pitching was very solid. This series vs Houston is important. The Reds need to establish dominance in the division.
