Actually, I think everyone did it.

    Reggie was bald, as pictured:

Didn't alot of them do it before 1998? Didn't the majority of them (besides Rik) go bald for the 94 and 95 playoff runs?
As I recall, Smits and Croshere were the last hold-outs

I think they just started yesterday. They were talking about it during the knicks / magic game.

I don't think Dwight will do it. It's hard to imagine him with a full beard, and if they make the finals, that's over 2 months without shaving... That is going into ZZ Top beard territory.
I dont think Dwight can grow a beard

They wouldn't ask them to do it in the name of 'making them look silly'. They want to reference the 1998 team.
It's gotta be Foster pushing it, don't you think? Who else was around back then?
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I like it, it's different than the standard bald or really short cut.

I would rather see them grow a stache/beard/goatee than see them go bald. So many of them have pretty short hair already and facial hair other than bits of scruff is comparatively uncommon in the NBA. Of course they may not all be able to grow respectable facial hair. But that just adds to the fun, I imagine (at least for the people who get to make fun of those that can't).

Foster wasn't on the team yet...the only one around was Bird, just imagine if this idea came from him

I think it might look good on Dahntay though.

Brandon said on his twitter that Dahntay has to grow out his hair for the playoffs due to him losing a bet on Duke.

Nobody. We drafted Jeff after we lost to the Knicks in '99.

By the way, didn't the players try to convince Larry to shave his head in '98, too? Obviously he didn't and wouldn't.

Did anyone else get a Michael Vick video ad after watching that one? That is not a very good follow-up.

According to Danny, someone turned down 3k to shave, but he would do it for 2

Paul George just tweeted..."Yo so the team are willing to pay me and Lance 5k to go bald...should we do it?"

    5k? Wtf
I'd do it for 50 bucks, and I'd have my entire body waxed for 5k.

HERE IS WHAT I THINK ...

(and I hope Rob may be reading this..lol)

I think for the remaining games left.. (there should be a huge PR campaign for this as well) ... For EVERY loss here on out , there be a phone txt poll with choices of every player who saw the playtime in that loss ...

And now for the good part.. IF we LOSE... The player chosen in the loss , must shave his head skin-bald ..

This way it will be fan chosen on who we thought stunk it up with detrimental contributions to the loss..

This way it will be something that will get the fanbase's curiousity interested , and add more pressure on the team to not want to fall victim to the razor..lol

They WIN .. well then their safe ... make the playoffs.. and all is well in PacerLand . heh

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

Considering the Pacers didn't make it to the finals the year they all shaved their heads I think they need to find something else to do.

At the rate things are going, you may soon have to change the thread title to "Pacers going home for the playoffs?"
