By the way, nothing says team unity like 'we'll offer to pay you five thousand dollars to try to convince you to do something that shows team unity'........

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

    nah..

it's more like "well offer to pay you five thousand dollars to do something to make yourself look foolish"

But they aren't being very smart..5K to go bald...seriously...for a guy. Jeez, make them come to the game in dresses if you want to make them look silly...heck my nail polish idea would have been better..

They wouldn't ask them to do it in the name of 'making them look silly'. They want to reference the 1998 team.

I like Orlando's fear the beard thing they are doing better. Not shaving until they either win the championship or get knocked out.

    Not the same way.....

As a soph in HS a few of us decided to shave our heads for sectionals, and it's one of the biggest things I regret. It was a horrible, I mean, HORRIBLE look for me, and it just didn't grow back the same. I didn't have "nice" hair to begin with, but it went even further down the track.

But then again, I don't know the in's and out's of different races hair. I would be asking other guys, like AJ, if he's noticed any difference when it starts growing a bit longer. (although I doubt he let's it get much longer ever)

You better be damn well sure about that decision.

The things we do to try and fit in.

They had them carry around pink Disney backpacks earlier in the season to make them look silly.

It just sounds more like egging on from a couple of older teammates..than it does a team unity thing.

I mean..if they wanted to do the team unity thing..wouldn't ALL of them shave their heads?

    edit: awww...his dog is precious..

Did they just start doing this? They don't really have beards at all. I am interested to see what happens to Dwight's face, I'm guessing nothing.

So true. I had really nice hair when I was younger, and then I got a bad haircut when I was in highschool and decided to just shave it all off. It has never been the same. It grows back patchy and thin. One of the worst decisions I ever made.

I went bald for the Draft back in June. It brought us Paul George.

I might have to do it again for the playoffs.

I think they just started yesterday. They were talking about it during the knicks / magic game.

I don't think Dwight will do it. It's hard to imagine him with a full beard, and if they make the finals, that's over 2 months without shaving... That is going into ZZ Top beard territory.

Wasn't there one hold out on the '98 team from the Pacers? I can't remember who it was, but I thought one of them refused to shave their head. Was it Reggie? I remember Rik Smits looked ridiculous

Actually, I think everyone did it.

    Reggie was bald, as pictured:

Didn't alot of them do it before 1998? Didn't the majority of them (besides Rik) go bald for the 94 and 95 playoff runs?

Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

I agree they should do the Tom Selleck/Porn stache.

Hansbrough looks gawdy enough as is. He might be even more freakish when bald. Though maybe that would be a good thing. Can you imagine the other teams shaking in there boots as the ghost of Tyler comes flying at them at full speed. I would just hand him the ball.
