That's going to rankle the "shoulda been" MVP.....

Actually, if it's scoring you want, then Artest would be on the floor. Not a lineup for significant minutes, but a lineup that could run and produce points.

    C - JO
    PF - Ron
    SF - SJax
    SG - Reggie
    PG - Tinsley

I'm wondering if Ron, at 6'7", could be a PF? Barkley wasn't much stronger than Ron.

And contrary to Conrad's company line, I think SG has been a position of concern since the 2000 Finals, but I still say Reggie should have moved to the bench when that team broke up.

In theory sure Ron could play at the 4 but...

I wouldn't put Ron inside at the 4 because he is the leagues best perimeter defender. It would be a rare match up where he would be as effective defensively on the power forward rather than the swing player.

Ron is not the rebounder Barkley was either.

Fine points... I was just thinking about that idea off the top of my head.

We played Artest at the 4 against Kenyon Martin for a while.

He matches up with Kenyon great... much better than he did against KVH.
    This space for rent.

if fred backs up the 2, jackson the 3, then we are good
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

As thin as we are at power forward I wouldn't be surprised to see that line up in brief stretches either. I just don't think it would be ideal in most cases.

They didn't "sign" Jackson to back-up a guy that plays 40 minutes a game.
No, but they traded a guy who did for him.
