Jwoww was courtside at the game tonight.... - Page 2
J-Woww (from Jersey Shore fame and now a professional wrestler) was in Indy for a couple of days to meet with Australian Gold (tanning lotion manufacturer) as she has an endorsement deal with them. Also, Australian Gold is headquartered on the NW side of Indy and had her in meetings, photo shoot, etc. Plus, she gets some free publicity for attending a Pacers game and a thread dedicated to her on PD. A lot of quasi-celebrities, athletes, musicians, comedians, etc. do take in Pacer games when they're in town.

I'm pretty sure the pacers paid her to be there. There's no way she just decided to check out a game and got court side at half court. And I doubt some tanning company had those tickets stashed away.
I seriously doubt the Pacers paid her. However, Australian Gold is a pretty large company and I'm sure a call was made to the Fieldhouse asking about getting court-side tickets and they obliged. Whether or not the tickets were free or not depends. The Pacers get free PR on TMZ and may appeal to the casual fan whereas J-Woww gets some free PR too and is shown on the big screen and more people may now know who she is extending her 15 minutes.
I can't imagine the Pacers paid her to be there. For one, getting courtside seats isn't the conquest it might be with a team like the Lakers or Knicks. Second, just seems like an odd way to market. I can't imagine too many people seeing her on TMZ and then deciding to watch the Pacers. I may be wrong!... But I doubt it.
Which made me wonder. I don't know if maybe she was in Indianapolis for something else and just decided to take in a Pacer game, but I do know that people like Jwoww and reality stars alike, make a good deal of there money on appearance fees. Do you think the Pacers paid her to sit court side, to try to make it seem more appealing to go to a Pacer game and boost future ticket sales?
She was in town for something else. I was aware of her visit several weeks ago.
I'd heard she was just going to stay in at the Conrad all day, but I guess a front row seat for an NBA game changed her mind.
My girlfriend texted me and said Jwow was sitting courtside, I responded with, "I dont know him." That tells you how much I know or care about her. She told me they showed her on the big screen and the place went nuts. Pretty sad, I wish they wouldve booed
I barely know who this person is, but come on, I think we should all shelve our righteous indignation of the Jersey Shore as this really is something that could get a few more butts in the seats at the Fieldhouse. This team needs all the the help it can get when it comes to increasing attendance.
When I was working on a couple of locally-produced movies, the producer had called the Pacers to see if they were interested in having a couple of celebrities sit in prominent places at the games when they were in town. I think the Pacers offered to comp some choice courtside seats in exchange for recongnition on the jumbotron, but beyond that, they weren't interested in paying anything, since again, all they usually get is a chance to flash the celeb on the jumbotron. The celeb usually gets more publicity than the team anyway.
Ok, WAKE UP! She was sitting with the Hilbert's.....They have had those seats since Conseco Fieldhouse opened their doors. Steve Hilbert was the CEO of Conseco which is how he got the seats....Steve Hilbert now runs the company that manufactures her tanning product....Incidentally, John Mennard owns the company and he can occasionally be seen sitting with the Hilbert's. Do I need to tell you what else John Mennard owns?

c'mon people, jersey shore is one of the funnier shows on television (jmo of course). jwoww getting on the jumbotron is definitely positive publicity considering the amount of people obsessed with that show.
