    Default Pray for Slick!!

Something bad happened to him. Either a heart attack or stroke or something. He had a pulse but wasn't breathing for like 10 minutes before they took him away in an ambulance.

Send him and his family all your prayers, they need them.

Sounds like they jolted him a few times, and at least have him breathing again.

I will try to keep you all posted if I hear any more info.

    prayers to slick.

a little medical education for some of you who might be interested:

just a question - how do you know he wasn't breathing?
not trying to question you, just wondering how you know.

5 minutes without oxygen usually results in brain injury that typically someone in their 70's may not want to be saved from.

jolting someone is only done in the sake of fatal cardiac arrythmia but pointless for the sake of breathlessness.

sitting for a long period of time while broadcasting, i would consider something like a pulmonary embolism similar to what happened to S. Williams to be a leading culprit.

Kaufman, I'm in Indy, I only know just what I was told by someone on the scene. I have no first hand knowledge of the situation.

Never meant to imply that. Just reporting what was said to me. Take it for what it's worth.

    fair enough.

i think given the limited information i have, i would consider a blood clot to the lung to be the most concerning thing considering how long he would have been sitting during the broadcast.

acute coronary syndrome or stroke also strong possibilities.

Kaufman, if someone has previously had a stroke, would they be more susceptible to suffering a reoccurrence in the future?

    F***

Hang in there Slick. This is awful news. I've seen him walking around Conseco a few times lately and he's what I would describe as "fragile" at this point. At least he's in NYC which has tons of high end medical options. Whatever issue he has he shouldn't suffer for lack of help at least.

    Thanks for the thread/info Mackey.
