The Pacers doesn't deserve a postgame thread tonight.... Nor do they deserve a meal on the way back to the airport......

Seriously? Outclassed by the T-Pups? Sigh! It's like the Pacers like to take you higher, so when they drop you off a cliff, it hurts more!

Dude come on. I know tonight's effort was pathetic but you have to support the team still.

How can you not? We just saw Tyler and a bunch of D-League rejects impersonating the Pacers.

Post game started for me mid-way through the 3rd quarter. That's when it might as well been called by mercy rule. My observations:

    1) After your best shooter goes, what, 1 for 12, you go to plan B. We didn't really have a plan B, because even with Danny's woes, the rest of the team was shooting below 50%.

    2) Hibbert is still committing quick fouls that get him back on the bench. This is devastating when his Goon Squad backup can't come in for him. You would think he would be especially careful to avoid foul trouble when Jeff is not available.

    3) It is very easy to see why we have so many senseless turnovers. Third quarter examples in Hibbert and Tyler. They get trapped on one side and the rest of the team is standing on the other side of the basket, and no one goes over to help. In fact, you watch the Wolves and they are a last place team that still keeps moving around. The Pacers? They stand ther like zombies expecting their teammates to fight out of a double team as the shot clock ticks to below 10 seconds.

    4) The face of futility: Collison tripping and turning the ball over, and Danny fouling in desperation on the fast break. Had he timed it right, I think he could have blocked the shot, but I think he hit everything but the ball.

    5) When you get blown out by a 15 win team in the fashion that we were blown out, you don't deserve the playoffs. This was a must-win game. They really won't come easier than this with a star that is beat up and playing limited minutes. The Buck should put us out of our misery by next week.

    6) I wish I could say we are living and dying with the young guys, but Posey comes in and gets victimized by Love.

    7) I guess I don't have anything positive to say! Oh, wait, I just turned on the game again with 3 seconds left and just saw one of our guys dunk. Hooray for something positive!

I think inevitably we have to come to a consensus on this - that private team meeting the other night with the yelling ----- did not go well.

my guess is there probably is a rift, or divide in that lockerroom that we do not know about.

let me ask someone who is more connected with the team than am i at this point - would mike wells report a deeply negative scoop on the team if he knew of one? or would he keep quiet in effort to avoid being blackballed by the team?

my guess is mike wells knows whats up.

Alright in compliance with the nice request by the guy wanting some sort of analysis of the game, here is my best attempt:

-Even with the injections of Tyler and PG into the starting lineup, the team came out flat. The only person to score a field goal for most of (if not the entire) first quarter was Tyler. Didn't seem to do anything.
-I've been slightly critical of Vogel, but I don't think you can blame him for much of this. The players have just come out flat and I'm not sure there's a good answer for it.
-No one looked good, save for Tyler. Danny's shot was way, way off all night as I'm sure the box score can attest to.
-It really looks like the only person who still cares is Tyler. Extremely alarming.
-At two separate times in the game we had a lineup of Price-Dahntay-Rush-Posey-Solo. Bleh, tells you everything.
-Simply put, it was the worst, most pathetic effort I think I have ever seen out of a Pacers team. Really embarrassing, and I'm not sure where to go from here.

It did look like aliens drained the talent out of the key players of this team.

Something has happened to the psyche of this team. It's like they don't even believe they can win.

The Lakers could lose to every sub .500 team, still make the playoffs, and contend for a championship. Nice try though.

I'm coming to think that Hansbrough, George, and Stephenson are the best players on this team.
