and what the hell is "hall of famer" jim calhoun's reportire of baseline inbounds plays: stand in one place for four and a half seconds and then throw it up?
Aren't they terrible. It's his Achilles heel as a coach..and to make it worse, typically it's the shortest guy on the court throwing the ball in..
And the commentators are stupid. Butler playing a zone isn't the white flag, they are going to a zone because Uconn hasn't beaten a zone until the NCAA tournament (and typically that's when teams make their run at us.)
The talking heads crying about how 'bad' the game was, like the NCAA made a bad pro wrestling booking decision, is going to be ridiculous the next few days. So many 'sports experts' trying to be witty and failing.
Butler had an incredible run. Brad Stevens is clearly one of the best coaches in college basketball. And Butler is a legit team. It's not too bad to have the barrier that you have to cross be the national championship game.
Uconn winning this season was just as unlikely as Butler, really. I'm astounded.

They have an All-Star scoring threat, imposing figures on the front line, steady point guard play, and most importantly, a defense that'll choke the life out of just about every offense that crosses its path."
