Wow, I am pretty sure we could find a roster spot for him. That is just cut throat as hell. What is the point of a contract if the team won't honor it.
The Bears, Lions, and Vikes will throw crazy money at that guy just to keep the Pack from having him.
That is why I laugh at NFL fans who whine and cry about a player holding out. You always hear fans so "oh he signed a contract," but yet the owners signed a contract and they can cut them whenever they feel like.
You bust your *** for the team and help them win a title and when it comes for your reward they cut you. The NFL is a cutthroat business and I never have a problem with a player getting as much money as humanly possible from those owners becuase those team only see them as numbers will get rid of them the moment they slip in production.
I would make room for AJ any day of the weak on the Colts roster.
I wouldn't mind having AJ Hawk on the roster, but I think he'll just cost too much. Still, I wonder if the Colts will give him a look.
3 scenarios for the draft, starting with my favorite first:
1. Pacers trade up for Justice Winslow
2. Take WCS or Stanley Johnson (this is the theory of a player falling); Make trades (Hibbert/West/others) for additional picks - George Lucas and Rakeem Christmas are players I'd love to have with a late first/early 2nd round
3. Trey Lyles
I'm sure my opinion will change many times before the draft though.
You think he would play OLB? MLB is the only LB position I feel we're pretty well set at.
Hawk already re-signed.
/End discussion. It's official: LB A.J Hawk, whom Green Bay released on Weds, has re-signed with the Green Bay Packers. It's a five-year deal.
Stop quoting people I have on ignore!
