Thread: Question about cell phone contracts

Default Question about cell phone contracts

I have a verizon phone. My 2 year contract is up in November so I can get a new phone this July. I want one now though lol.

If I buy a phone through Best Buy or Wal Mart how will that work? Would I be able to do that and not I have to pay a huge fee for getting rid of my current phone early?

I don't know how Verizon works, but I know ATT has sim cards that hold all of your information. If you buy a new phone you can just pop that sim card into that new phone and you're off and running.

However, the price you see for most phones say "*with a 2 year contract" or something similar. The price of the phone is higher the way you'll need to purchase it. Which is without a contract, because you already have a current contract.

Go through a Verizon store, not one of the Big Box Retailers. Depending on how long you've been a customer, there is a good chance you're up for an early upgrade.
