Serious question, wouldn't every SG's ceiling be higher as a PG?
not every SG can play pg only certin molds like Eric Gordon someone who is good at passing/ court vision but is a great scorer also.

I think he's more of a SG, but he doesn't have to actually play at the PG position for some of those skills to be useful. If we have great passing to set up other players at SG with Stephenson and at PF with McRoberts, that's always nice to have.

I'd mainly put Stephenson at backup PG if there's a nice matchup advantage at that spot, such as an opposing PG with a slight frame who wasn't too fast for Lance. I would like to see more of Stephenson in such situations and see what he can do at PG. He looked much better than I expected during the summer league play, although he wasn't so stellar that I wouldn't prefer to see him spending most of the time at SG.

Thank you! I thought the exact same thing reading these posts. There are plenty of SGs that can handle the ball well enough to masquerade as a point guard. None of them have succeeded. There is a reason for it, but people get too seduced by the thought that this one guy can buck the trend. I'm not seeing it.

Have no idea until we see him play BUT seems to me that lack of size has hurt Collison and Price at times when speed could not compensate or over come it. Stephenson is 6'5". It is a lot easier to run pick and rolls if you are tall enough to get the pass off or get a decent shot on your own.

Lance is a scorer with passing ability. Play him wherever he can most exploit that, depending on the matchups.
