    I feel the same way.

I just don't think there's any value to Rush anymore. His offense cancels out his defense in my opinion.

Paul George is better than Rush. And Dahntay is better simply because he actually tries and gives some type of effort.
Wow....BRush's offense isn't that bad that it makes him useless to the Team where it cancels any defensive contributions that he provides.

At worst...Brush and Inferno are on the "same level" when it comes to contributions as they are IMHO situational type SGs that you want on your Team when facing different Backcourts.

But IMHO...I'd put BRush ahead of Inferno in the GF rotation where I would want to put in BRush ( playing behind both Granger and PG ) against any backcourt that we face.....whereas I would only want Inferno in the lineup against only certain backcourts that don't defend the basket very well.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

I actually think if it goes down, a 30 game rental of Landry would be a great idea. Rush is not much to give up for him. Larry is in a tough position. Both Tyler and Josh are on the cusp of being solid players who can give you production night in and night out. Do we still need an upgrade at this position or not? Does he resign Josh next year for the MLE or not? IF he was looking at Landry anyways for the offseason. No Reason not to bring him in this year if possible and if cheap.

NO already has agreed to pick up Landry, barring some type of last minute breakdown.

Here's my question, now that they have Carl Landry, does that mean David West is on the move?

Not sure if this will ever happen. Sure, he can hit the occasional three but he's the prime example of inconsistent and hesitant. Those are two attributes that players have that almost never change.
He's our best 3pt shooter hitting 1.5 3pt shots for every 3.5 3pt Attempts shooting 42% from the 3pt line.

How more consistent do you want him to be?

If you look at him as an all-around scorer/shooter like PG...yeah...no kidding...he's not consistent. But if you look at him as a Backup SG/SF that can come in, provide some defense and hit a spot up 3pt shot...then BRush fits that mold better. In my eyes, BRush doesn't have to be a consistent scorer with players like PG, DC, Granger, Hansbrough and Hibbert in the lineup....he has to fill the same role that AJ ( in my mind ) fills....he has to offer something that the rest of them don't offer. In AJs case, run the offense and pick the shots that he can hit. For BRush, he has the ability to defend the Player he should be guarding and hit the 3pt shot when the ball is passed to him.

However, if you want a perimeter defender that has an inconsistent 3pt shot but can attack the basket...then Inferno's your guy. For me, BRush and Inferno are different type of Wing Players that I don't mind having in the GF rotation.....they both provide solid perimeter defense but offers different offensive skills to the Team.

Do you really think he would be consistent in 20-30 minutes per game backing up both wing spots?

I was thinking more now. Maybe they thought David West was out of their price range, and decided they'd plug in David West lite to save money. Then swing West for whatever they can get, instead of losing him to free agency.

David Andersen not involved in Landry deal.

    Looks like Landry for Thornton/Cash.

    Not that it matters.

Not really. It's basically an insurance plan. If they can't get West to resign they try to keep Landry, if they can resign West, they simply let Landry expire.

I think the best chance we have to get West would be if he thinks Chris Paul bolts in 2012

If West was on the move then we will most likely hear that Landry has signed an extension as well.

Glad we dodged that. Carl Landry adds almost nothing to the team.

Let's just sit on our assets if that's the best we can do.

Just to be clear....do I think that he can be a consistent Shooter that is relied upon to mainly shoot the 3pt shot and provide solid defense for 24 to 28 minutes a game?

Yes, I do....anything else that he provides on top of that ( even if it is inconsistent ) is icing on the cake if you ask me.

I don't consider him a Starter....so I don't need him to be a consistent Scorer....looking purely at the offensive end....I think that he is more then capable of being a consistent shooter then a scorer ( there's a difference between a "scorer" and a "shooter" where BRush is clearly the latter and not the former ). As mentioned several times before by many Posters here.....he's a Derrick McKey type Player....and IMHO....a poor man's Bruce Bowen....the type of Player that I want to have in my lineup.

Hell of a Win for us tonight. Hopefully Larry pulls off something I can brag to my friends about (Heat, Wizards, Lakers fans). Til tomorrow PDers.

His numbers were 18pts and 6.5rpg for last year, Dwest is close to that (19pts and 7.8rpg)

    I stand corrected.

I think West is a better player though.

I agree, my feeling is that NO is pulling a Phoenix, were they try to replace players with similar ones but cheaper.

Now that Landry is gone I honestly don't see any deal out there that is appealing enough to move in on.
If the Hornets aquired Landry that makes David West available... We stole DC why not West?

Ford and foster for West and smith sounds pretty dang nice to me. Make it nicer? We throw in T.J and get Jarret back... Thats just wishful.

    Haven't seen this mentioned yet:
    http://rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/1...eing-discussed

The Grizzlies are discussing a trade that would send Zach Randolph to the Magic for Jason Richardson and Brandon Bass, according to Chad Ford of ESPN.com.

Yikes, I feel like the Magic are in desperation mode. I just don't see that working out in the least. Z. Bo and Arenas on the same team, (shudders).

I think we need to make a move for a 2 gaurd shooter and just accept Paul George. Or let Paul go and make a serios move for a gaurd that plays on the dribble that goes nowhere near the 3pt line. I.E. Monta Ellis
