    Default Pacers/Bobcats postgame thread

A win is a win, young teams would always let the other come back, the good thing is that they knew how to finish the game.
Roy was a beast today 29 points and 10 rebounds.

-To say that I am livid and disappointed at Mike right now would be an understatement. He almost dragged us all the way down. I can live with a guy like George making mistakes because he'll learn, but Mike isn't young. Very, very disappointed with him lately.

-Roy Hibbert is back fellas! Thank you Bird for firing Jim.. Thank you.

-Josh is coming along. He had a very good game. His game is so unique for a power forward.

    -WE CLOSED OUT A GAME!

-8th seed fellas! Philly and Milwaukee lost as well.

We need to lock McRoberts into a 3-4 year MLE $ level contract.

Get it done Larry. This guy is a part of our future. Can't believe we got him and Rush out of the Bayless trade.

Along with a rental of Jarrett Jack? We absolutely stole from Portland there.

That guy was a real difference maker out on the court tonight in so many ways. He actually credibly defended Crash tonight on top of it all.

I've said for quite a while that Mike Dunleavy doesn't have high basketball I.Q. He's just always had that label being a coaches son, but in reality, he makes some very bad decisions on offense and defense.

He is good at passing for his size, but that's a skill, not basketball I.Q.

Honestly, if Mike wasn't so terrible and if Danny would at least get a hand up on Jax, the win would would have been much easier.

I like that we get to learn from this game, but still get the win.

The shooting guards are really giving Vogel problems lately. PG has been off, Dun's been bad, and Dahntay's been a black hole..Vogel doesn't know wtf to do. Hello Brandon.

I think with a young team, the coach needs to go with the players that are playing the best. With maybe the exception of Hibbert. (But if Foster is having a really good game, and Hibbert is bad, I'm not opposed to playing Foster.) But I think Vogel needs to make it clear..as in "Guys, I'm going to play the players that are playing the best in the end. It's not a punishment, it'll just give us the best chance of winning." Instead of settling with the starters (Unless it's about even). Granted, I understand wanting our starters to be familiar with closing together...but I think all of the young guys need to learn how to close.

Oh, and is there any doubt what Roy's problem was?

QB: "Stephen jackson will foul you.. .. Cuz he doesn't want to look like he's not doing anything.". I loled literally.

Eduardo najera has made just over 31 million in his 10 year NBA career.. Thank god not a dime with us.
Jeff foster.. Just over 41 mil in the same timespan.

Games over.. I expected a bigger win but I think after the effort last night this is a well deserved win, albeit a controversial one.

Roy and Danny and JMac were fantastic. I'm still waiting for our overall defense to show up.. We look good at times but the boob kitties should not be scoring 103 pts.

    23-28.. Or is it 22..

Either way it just feels good again. And that feels.. Good.

"Mr consistency" Mike Dunleavy needs to go to the bench as soon as Rush gets back, if the Pacers are planning in going to the playoffs he better be playing less minutes and off the bench.

Josh McRoberts might have been a second round pick, but he is a first round talent. We better give him at least 3 years in the offseason.

Vogel nearly loss this one. But one thing is for certain. JOB had a canny sense of drawing up sideline plays to get off a good quick shot....or did he. Either Frank learned this from JOB, or he was/is the mastermind.

Being down 8 points early they did not chuck it. The battled inside and brought it back.

SJax got hot. I don't care what anyone says, we need Brandon Rush.

Lets hear it for Josh!! I was one of his few supporters on here it seemed when he was in a suit. Almost a triple double. I knew what he is capable of and he's showing it. Dunleavy had the worst game I've seem him play yet. Poor decision after poor decision.

    Collison did not foul SJax.

Collison brought his arm down but did not interfere with SJax's shooting motion. He jumped into Collison and refs don't usually call a foul on the defender when a player jumps into them.

I think what we saw tonight was crap performances from our typical "secondary scorers" - Hansbrough, Paul and Dunleavy - and that, combined with a bad stretch of turnovers and offensive malaise in the fourth, almost spelled doom for us. If any of those three has a good game, I think we ease our way to victory much more comfortably. We are a much better team than Charlotte - we just didn't play like that tonight. It's nice to escape with a win on the tail-end of a back-to-back. For that I'm grateful.

Vogel says that we are much more talented than any regular eigth seed team.. He thinks we're going on a huge run to close out the season.

He also said they are aiming higher than the 8 seed.

Also said that one of the routines for Roy is to play him 1 on 1 against Vitaly Potahowevertheheckitsspelled and the only way he's allowed to score is to dunk it.

Not to mention 2 and 4 games respectively behind the 76ers and the Knicks for the 7th and 6th spot.

Yeah. Our SGs haven't been bad exactly but they haven't been good either. Alternating patches of "yay" and "WTF?" Interested to see what Brandon can do in the new system.

Since you only joined us back in December, I'll give you a pass on this one, but believe me when I say this: There were plenty of people (Naptime being the most consistent in my memory) advocating Josh get minutes the second he came here - and they were right.
