Thread: LAL, DEN, IND

    Default LAL, DEN, IND

I came across a fan throwing out this trade on an espn board.. Den gets Dunleavy and Bynum. LA gets Melo and Foster. We get Harrington and Artest. I know we have had probs with Artest in the past. I moved from Ind to Socal so I get to see him in action a lot and his attitude has defintely improved...Anyways just curious what you guys think if a deal like this were to go down.

"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Too bad we don't have a section for joke trade proposals.

I'll trade TJ Ford, for a set of Gary Busey teeth.

Whats so unrealistic about it? They are already talking about trading for Melo out here in Cali and getting rid of artest too.

Can we just get Gary Busey? He would draw fans in.

Not even going to dignify this with a worthwhile response. If you don't know, you'll never know.

How about the fact that your suggesting we bring Ron Artest back to this franchise? Unrealistic enough for you?

Well if your about to say the Bynum for Melo the nuggs already are supposively thinking about it theyre just worried about past injuries...and its not like its a steal for us cause artest is only averaging like 8 a game and harrrington is only averaging 11 this year. Im just curious whats so unrealistic.

First of all i didnt suggest we bring artest back and i just seen it on another site and was curious what fellow pacer fans thought. Believe me I remember what happened when he was in a pacer uniform. I been watching them since the 80s. Im just saying Artest is not the same person as before i know that for a fact watching him out here...Anyways i guess i got your answers..thanx

Its unrealistic not because any lopsidedness in the deal. Its unrealistic because the man set the franchise back how many years. He very well may have cost us a title or two.

Well, think about it this way.... In some alternate universe where Artest didn't run into the stands, where JO's knees held up, where Tinsley and Jax weren't running around Indy firing off guns, and where we never signed Sarunas Jasikevicius and Jim O'Brien. That team's getting kinda old by now. We're looking at a major rebuilding process coming up very very soon if not now. I'll take our current Pacers over that team if we're strictly living in the now. That's how I sleep at night, at least.

I get that. Ha believe me I remember what mess he made here. Just wondered how everyone felt years after and now see that. I wouldnt want him back personally but just curious how fellow fans felt.

So you can be frequently agressive when the situation doesn't call for it?

Hell, forgetting all about Artest being crazy and Al already having 2 tours of duty here that didn't work, just no. Neither is that good anymore, both towards the ends if not already past their primes, and both are crappy contracts.

I wouldn't want either one even if they had no connection to us previously.

How exactly has Artest changed? He just demanded a trade not more than a week ago, sound like the same old Ron to me.

However even if I were to believe for one second that he had changed, which I don't and never care to know that he does for that matter. How exactly does this trade help us in any way?

We would trade two of our expiring contracts, which we have worked so very hard to be in a good financial situation this off season, and would be taking on Al who is overpaid and underproduces and still has a couple of seasons left on his contract and Ron who I think still has two more on his.

Who should we not play so these two outstanding gentlemen get min.? Danny? Paul?

I'd rather trade for a clone army of Troy Murphy's than accept that deal.

Are you out of your ****ing mind? The ****ing sole reason we have been in this hellhole is because of ******** like Ron Artest. He had zero responsibility, zero accountability, and the worst of it all is that we gave him multiple chances to get his **** together.
