    Default Lakers/ Nuggets/ Pacers

I seen this thought on another site that a fan threw out and actually sounds a bit interesting so here is what they said.. Nuggets get Dunleavy and Bynum. Lakers get Foster and Melo. We get Harrington and Artest.

I know a lot of us pacer fans have certain opinions about artest from the past. I actually left indy and live in socal now so get to see a lot of laker games when our pacers arent playing and he is defintely a diff player attitude wise then before..anyways let me hear some opinions.

Too bad we don't have a section for joke trade proposals.

I'll trade TJ Ford, for a set of Gary Busey teeth.

Can we just get Gary Busey? He would draw fans in.

Not even going to dignify this with a worthwhile response. If you don't know, you'll never know.

How about the fact that your suggesting we bring Ron Artest back to this franchise? Unrealistic enough for you?

Its unrealistic not because any lopsidedness in the deal. Its unrealistic because the man set the franchise back how many years. He very well may have cost us a title or two.

Well, think about it this way.... In some alternate universe where Artest didn't run into the stands, where JO's knees held up, where Tinsley and Jax weren't running around Indy firing off guns, and where we never signed Sarunas Jasikevicius and Jim O'Brien. That team's getting kinda old by now. We're looking at a major rebuilding process coming up very very soon if not now. I'll take our current Pacers over that team if we're strictly living in the now. That's how I sleep at night, at least.

So you can be frequently agressive when the situation doesn't call for it?

Hell, forgetting all about Artest being crazy and Al already having 2 tours of duty here that didn't work, just no. Neither is that good anymore, both towards the ends if not already past their primes, and both are crappy contracts.

I wouldn't want either one even if they had no connection to us previously.

How exactly has Artest changed? He just demanded a trade not more than a week ago, sound like the same old Ron to me.

However even if I were to believe for one second that he had changed, which I don't and never care to know that he does for that matter. How exactly does this trade help us in any way?

We would trade two of our expiring contracts, which we have worked so very hard to be in a good financial situation this off season, and would be taking on Al who is overpaid and underproduces and still has a couple of seasons left on his contract and Ron who I think still has two more on his.

Who should we not play so these two outstanding gentlemen get min.? Danny? Paul?

I'd rather trade for a clone army of Troy Murphy's than accept that deal.

Are you out of your ing mind? The ing sole reason we have been in this hellhole is because of ******** like Ron Artest. He had zero responsibility, zero accountability, and the worst of it all is that we gave him multiple chances to get his together.
