    Default Trade Idea

I know it is way too early to be talking about next years draft. But could Indy trade a player to get a first round pick, preferebly early to mid first round? If that could happen we should try to draft David Pollack. Imagine, Dwight Freeny on 1 end and David Pollack on the other. Maybe it is just me but that gives me the chills. Or maybe we save it for a later year and draft Thomas Davis, the hardest hitting linebacker in the SEC, just a thought.

Name one player on the Colts not named James, Harrison, Freeney or Manning thats worth a 1st round pick.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

David Thornton and Gelnn you could get 3rd rounders for, MAYBE....

Reggie Wayne you could get a 2nd rounder for if you really found an idiot GM to agree to it.

But none of those players are even CLOSE to warrenting a mid-first round pick...in the NFL, those things are solid gold. You don't get veterans in return for them unless they are pro-bowlers.

There are only four players on the entire team that could realistically bring a first round pick in a trade: Manning, Harrison, James, or Freeney. You know Peyton and Dwight aren't going anywhere. Marvin and Edgerrin are in contract years, so I suppose trading one of those two instead of letting them go is a possibility. Furthermore, at least one of those two will be tagged if neither is signed. Most will agree the Colts will let Edge go well before letting Marvin take off. So that leaves one player, Edge, the Colts may possibly be able to parlay into a first round choice.

It ain't gonna happen. Pollack would be a welcome addition to the Colts defense though.
