    Default Karl Malone in Silver and Black

    I am posting a link to the Spurs message board that has been referenced here a time or two because they have a thread discussing a report that suggest Karl Malone will be a spur. (The report is quoted and cited there, you have to be a member to read the article where it is cited).

    http://www.spursreport.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=16390

    If Malone goes to SA then I definately cement the Spurs at the top of my power rankings coming into the season (even if he isn't 100%). Would Duncan move to the 5 or would Malone be a short Brad Miller like 5 seeing as he was so effective at creating assists and rebounding in LA when he was healthy.

    Also, do the Spurs ever make moves that hurt them? It seems like every year the Spurs improve.

    If this happens, Spurs go from "one of the four best teams" to "The best team" this season, heading in.

    I think its funny that everyone has written Reggie off (including me) but they still think Malone will be himself from a couple of years ago. I dont buy it I think he is done and wont have another healthy year. Yes while he plays the Spurs would be the team to beat. But I just dont believe that he will be healthy for an entire season.

    Think Reggie he may have his moments but thats it.

    The Spurs can win the title without Malone. Having him even sometimes makes them better.

    Malone at an old age is waaaaaaaaaaaay more effective than Reggie has been the past couple of years. In 02-03 Malone was a 20 point scorer still, and last year Malone was very effective when he was healthy and was getting played. He just couldnt average 20 a game with Shaq, Kobe and GP.

    Malone was also being way more assertive than Reggie; not afraid to take his shots.

    Malone in silver and black?

    I didn't know he was joining the Raiders.

    I think, in his prime, he could've started at DE or DT. Don't know about now.
    Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
    Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
    Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
    Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
    And life itself, rushing over me
    Life itself, the wind in black elms,
    Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

    Actually Karl is just the kind of player Al Davis looks for--an aging star in his twilight.

    I wouldn't be surprised at all if this happens.

    ok, why are we not in the race to get Malone on our team?

    Is he looking for the big payday again or is he just looking to get back to the finals?

    If he wants money, we're screwed. If he wants a chance to win & be a big part of why a team wins then right here, right now.

    Can anybody say that Karl wouldn't start on our team right now? Other than U.B.

    Malone won't come here for the same reason any free agent doesn't like comming here....

    It's too cold here!!!

    Climate strikes again!!!

    If Indy was in a situation where we wouldn't have to compete with other better climate cities for Malone's services...I would think we would have a shot. I'm sure having the year in LA away from the cold mountain winters of Salt Lake City, he is not ready to go back to the cold weather of the flat lands.

    After many years in Utah, there are a few other reasons why I don't think K. Malone would make Indianapolis an option.

    So true! Even I, living at more than a mile above sea-level but considerably south of SLC, would love to move somewhere a bit warmer. (especially back to OC, or down south a little ways...)

    All I can say is: At least he's not likely to go to the Kings. Now watch me jinx myself...

    Man, that is exactly what I was thinking when I read the topic of the thread.
    Two=the number 2
    Too=means "also"
    To=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (two, too) do not apply.

    Their=shows ownership-'it is their house'
    They're=they are
    There=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (their, they're) do not apply

    Sorry but it bugs me when these are used incorrectly when I read posts on PacersDigest.com.

    The T-Wolves apparently will make a push to sign him if he decides to stay...

    I heard on the radio today that KG and his coach are going to LA to talk to him. Malone stated tht he was waiting to give Coach Popovich a call after Pop got home from his vacation.

    It makes sense that Karl would try to ride another bandwagon to a ring. And the Spurs have tried to get him in there for some time.

    I think he'll re-up with the Lakers, though. Or go to Miami.

    If he does go to SA, though, they move ahead of the T'Wolves as my new #1.

    Could it be:
    As much as things change, the more they stay the same?

    Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

    Maybe the reason Karl isn't coming he is because JO isn't one of the three best big men in the league?

    But yes it would be nice to be in the running.

    Wouldn't Surprise me if he would play for the Spurs , Wasn't he wanting to sign with them before he went too the Lakers ? If I remember right that's what I heard and the Spurs were offering more money from what I heard , but he still went with the Lakers.
