Shaq can say whatever he wants.

The Pistons will ALWAYS have the last laugh, unless shaq can overcome them in miami.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

If Shaq wrote whatever the link leads to, I refuse to read it.

Okay, I wasn't going to read it anyway.

But if I were going to read it I wouldn't read it if it were written by Shaq. Or Charley Rosen.
You, Never? Did the Kenosha Kid?

"Some guys are so smart that they’re dumb. Like, Mitch Kupchak will never be remembered for anything but what? Trading me. That was the dumbest move in sports history. Congratulations, Mitch."

Worst move ever? Hello, Red Sox fan here. I think I know a bad sports move when I see one, and trading Shaq was not the worst ever.

Well, Big Ben doesn't have an offensive game so that's probably why he wasn't mentioned. Or maybe Shaq's just being a sore loser.

Far be it for me to defend Shaq in any way, because he's a moron, but exactly why does he owe Ben Wallace any respect? Because the Pistons, AS A TEAM, beat the Lakers? Ben didn't exactly have his way with Shaq.

Thats true, Shaq averaged more points against Ben and the Pistons than he did against any other team.

Shaq seemed to have his way with them every game, he doesn't owe them any respect.

Well, it's not like JO has ever torched Shaq either. Ben's the third best big man in the East and he was an all star starter, DPOY etc etc. He does deserve respect, though not necessarily for the Pistons beating the Lakers. And as far as Shaq having his way with Pistons, that was their game plan and however many points Shaq did score, it obviously wasn't enough so he does owe the Pistons some respect.

Um, shaq had his way with the Pistons how many games?

    Two?

Compare SHaq's finals averages in his previous three appearances, then look at his stats in the 2004 finals, and THEN tell me he had his way.....,

By the way, Chamberlain typically had his way statistically with Russell, but Russell's team always won.

Stats don't matter, its who wins or loses. Bow down, Shaquille.

Shaq did better against the Pistons offensively than any other team in the 04 playoffs. It's silly to compare the finals stats last year for Shaq to the finals stats in 00,01,02...because in those 3 finals series, Shaq got the ball constantly. Come 2004 playoffs, Kobe took alot more shots.

Kobe took 113 shots in the finals, made 43, and averaged 22.6 points a game.

Shaq took 84 shots, made 53, and averaged 26.6 points a game.

That's probably the funniest stat I've ever seen.

But the fact is, in 2004, Shaq played considerably better against the Pistons than he did against the Rockets, Spurs, or Wolves. That's not taking anything away from the Pistons, thats just a fact.

....and we're also the only team that didn't give a **** about him scoring.

As I said before, stats are meaningless in the playoffs. The only stat that means anything is who won, and who lost.

What makes them so meaningful in the regular season?

    There's an old saying:

"Regular season is where you make your name, playoffs is where you make your fame."

The regular season is mostly about statistics, because its a much longer period of time, and most any superstar can take his team to the playoffs. However, the Playoffs are where your repuation is made. Nobody is going to give a damn how many points you scored, if you don't take your team along with you.

Kstat, I think you're missing the point. This is about Shaq not giving Ben respect. It has nothing to do with the Pistons as a team. The only love he gave to any East player not on his team is JO.

And I made the point that it really doesnt matter what or not he thinks, this was all decided back in June, and there's nothing he can say or do about it right now.

Scoreboard, shaq. Ben's got the ultimate trump card. DIsrespect him all you want, doesn't change the fact his team whitewashed yours.

Wasn't 2004 the year of the Poners Shade?
