Ron Artest Would Have Been A Grizzly, If Not For In-N-Out Burger
by Tom Ziller • Jan 18, 2011 10:09 AM EST

The NBA rescinded technical fouls on Blake Griffin and Ron Artest from the very end of the Clippers' Sunday win over the Lakers. Ron Artest is glad, because according to quotes in the Los Angeles Times, it means Ron-Ron can now use that tech money a few thousand double-doubles.

Artest was apparently hungry to get back the $4,000 he would have forfeited had his ejection not been overturned.

"I could've bought 10,000 In-N-Out Burgers," he said. "I rather would've done that than give it away. I'm going to get 10 burgers [after Monday's game]. I love In-N-Out. It's addicting. It's the only reason I'm here in L.A. If it wasn't for In-N-Out Burger, I probably would've gone to Memphis or something."

Thisclose, Memphis. You could have had an All-World defender and quote machine if only you'd convince the company to expand to Tennessee.

Speaking of Artest, FanHouse's Sam Amick has a wonderful look into the budding rivalry between Ron-Ron and Kevin Durant.

Those burgers must be quite the steal if Ron-Ron can get 10,000 of them for $4,000. What is it 1955?

I'm gonna go on down to the general store and pick me up a sodey pop for a dime.

This is hilarious and possibly a new endorsement tool for NBA bad boys... Bill Lambeer and Sheed Wallace would be rollin' it in.

I've never had a burger from there but I was told when I went to LA last summer to make sure I went there. Ya'll don't have White Castle though.

I had my first In and Out burger when I lived in Phoenix

Its a good burger (the animal sauce is a must)

Nothing to make me consider it when relocating though

Their toppings are amazing, but the burger itself and especially their fries certainly don't stand out to me, so I'm with you on that. Still a good burger, just not the best like their 1,000 signs in the store claim.

White Castle blows, not to mention extremely overpriced.

Forty-nine cents for a hamburger the size of a small coaster? Please, I'll go to Wendy's, Burger King, or McDonalds for a double cheesburger (where each patty is twice the size of one patty at White Castle) for a buck. Maybe if Castle changed the price of a burger to twenty-five cents, I'd consider going.

Also, a very good fast food style place unique to Indy is 96th Street Steakburgers.

In N Out is just delicious. Everything is fresh and you don't feel like **** after eating it like most fast food places. Personally I don't think 5 guys comes close to it.

I've not had In' n Out'. Went to LA last Labor Day and was told by my two brothers that live in Cali that they're over-hyped.

I do swear by 5 guys, though. Extremely good burgers.

When I went to Phoenix last winter I made it a point to visit In-N-Out, Jack-In-The-Box, and Del Taco and none of them disappointed. I visited Del Taco in Flagstaff on my way up to the Grand Canyon to stay in a cabin on the rim.......I didn't sleep much that night but the food was great. There's just something about getting a 1 lb burrito with chili cheese fries that makes America the great country it is.
