He hires good coaches to coach with him. I wouldnt say he is "very good"

he would have been fired after last season if his contract wasnt so big and didnt want a big buy-out

If the Bears fired Lovie, theres very little chance they're playing right now. There is something to be said for organizational continuity, which is why I understand the colts holding onto Caldwell for another year.

You're seriously comparing Lovie to Caldwell?

Even I think Lovie who I admit I'm not big on is better than Caldwell. The Bears just needed an offense they already have the defense and Special Teams.

I don't recall Lovie making boneheaded timeouts(although I could be wrong) while I don't consider him an elite coach he at least knows coaching 101 and has enough sense to let other people on the team who may know more than him in certain areas take the reins(Mike Martz on offense) Lovie has made the Bears more relevant the past 6 years than the previous coaches after Ditka have. You at least notice a difference with him.

Something I don't see Dead Eyes Caldwell ever doing. What exactly does he add to the team that anyone thinks is better?

A little of both the Bears are rather unpredictable but the Seahawks aren't that great away from Seattle and after Carlson got hurt the team's life was sucked out of them.

i agree with this we really needed a OC and Martz has done a great job and i love that Lovie went out and got him and Rod Marinelli and let him call plays on defense. Great moves by Lovie

Carlson loss killed them but the way Cutler played was really good proud of him.

No doubt Bears have had a great year. They deserve all the credit. But I think they will run into the proverbial buzz saw next week despite it being at home.

it will be a tuff game next week. But we held the packs to 10pts week 17. We only scored 3pts but part of that was we did'nt gameplan because the game really did'nt matter we just wanted to keep sharp. I think it will come down to the wire division games always do.

That ticket will be hellie exspensive Packers vs Bears NFC Chapionship game crazy.

So much for people saying we played in a week divison lions went 6-10 tied for last with the Vikings and Ethier the Bears or the Packers will be in the Superbowl

I think Jim would be more well regarded if Polian dedicated more attention to defense...the timeout situation never wouldnhave happened if the Colts dedicated any real attention to improving defense and special teams over then past 10 years. But the Colts are Polians team...the defense sucked even when we had the very defensive minded Dungy as the coach.
