Sooo.. How about that first deal now that the Melo trade fell through like coins in the couch?

    To IND:
    Favors
1st round pick (probably top 10, but top 3 protected)
    Damion James
    Jordan Farmar
Anthony Morrow (meh about him now)

    To NJ:
    Danny Granger
I like the idea as it probably solves our PF problem for year and gives room for PG to blossom. However
    1. we'd have to include at least 2 other players (say Solo and...) in order to have to cut only one
    2. I guess it does not had that much of salary and years but I'm not a big fan of taking both Farmar and Morrow. Morrow I like, Farmar never been impressed. The obvious nice deal in terms of salary cap considerations unfortunately involves... taking back Murphy
    3. this deal means the 3 year plan potentially becomes a more-then-3-year plan and I'm not sure Larry'd be willing to give up. I would not be upset as we've pretty much stagnated during that span

Farmar is a very good backup point IMO. Very good. I'd love him here, even with his somewhat bloated contract.

Looking better and better all the time.

    Collison/Farmar
    George/Rush
    Morrow/Rush
    Favors/Hans
    Hibbert/McRoberts

And we're a couple months away from a stud top 8 pick or so along with our 10-13 pick.
We need better than solid. No JJ Redicks, Andray Blatche, Mike Dunleavy type guys to have big roles on our team.

I think if we do that nets deals we would be worse than a 10-14 pick. Which is why I like this deal. if we can somehow get perry jones as our future SG and jerad Sullinger as our future PF with him sharing time with favors, we are gonna have a very strong front court and back court for years to come. Perry jones reminds me of a taller Kevin Durant.

Plus we still have the cap space to round out the roster into a contending team.

Much better than just Iggy and granger losing in the playoffs to the heat or knicks or celtics

Isn't Damion James supposed to be pretty athletic?

It would be nice to pull off a trade with the nets and get Favors and possibly an unprotected pick.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!
