Let's not forget he missed those two free throw shots.

When Jimmy was asked about those 2 missed FT in the after game interview, he could have thrown Granger under the bus, but instead took the high road saying it would have helped if Granger had made them. He stated things like that happens, and he mentioned recently watching a Celtics game where Ray Allen did the same thing late in the game they lost.

First JOB isn't playing stretch 4s, now he's not throwing players under the bus in post-game interviews?

What the HELL did Bird say to him after the Knicks loss?

Where's the Danny who averaged 25.8 points per game and made 90% of his free throws?

That Danny with this new and improved young team would be great in addition to his improved defense.

I'd be happy if he averaged at least 23 points per game though.
I wonder if he's trying to play through an injury or theres another personal situation going on for him off the court....

He's not injured, but if anything, he needs to take it easy and let his game come to him.

He's trying too hard and he doesn't need to.

He needs to focus and remember what he used to do and play like that now.

Yeah his defense is better and that was probably the biggest area for improvement and now it's offense.

A 25+ ppg, lock on D Danny is hands down an All-Star and would make this team a lot better.

Danny's got to be able to take it against Manu... He's got the size difference. He's got to have some go-to move.
Manu and Duncan just owned DG and RH on defense in the final quarter by being PHYSICAL. Those two guys are too finesse to be go to in the clutch when teams ramp up the defense and physicality.

What happened to the ball movement we saw early in the year? All I see now is ISOs and guys dribbling too much or with no purpose.

The 2 PGs in the game during that stretch had nothing to do with the 2 consecutive turnovers and the bad shot we took on offense during that stretch.
Three possesions in a row with no FGA from us and it's not affected by having two PGs in at the same time...not that used to playing with each other...leaving only our least effective (today) SF in the game at the wing? ...This all occurring at a crucial point in the 4th quarter against a team that you can't afford to make a mistake against.

I've always given credit to O'Brien for the things he does well. I'm not a coach basher by any stretch...but that was a dumb substitution that resulted in our offense faltering.

I'll also note that coach had just finished pulling Dunleavy out of the game...after Mike had scored 9 of our last 13 points. (Tyler had the other 4.)

In other words.....O'Brien is an idiot coach.

I don't like the ideal of Hans covering Neal, Ginobili, Parker, or Hill. Who would you have Tyler cover?
This is where I never agree with anyone who likes small ball better than I do.

To me, when I see a situation like that, I think to myself "Who is going to guard Tyler?" And then I think "Neither can guard the other, but Tyler's probably going to foul them out faster than they can foul him out, and Tyler should rebound better."

Neither one of them are big enough to guard Tyler. If Tyler gets the ball down low, he'd get a foul and most likely a layup. If he does miss the shot, he'll get his own rebound. He's just too big and strong for a guard/wing to cover.

This only works if you slow the game down though.
    Agreed!

I don't know how well Tyler's going to pan out, but JOB giving the younger players a shot just made a 5 games below .500 team's season a lot more interesting and hopeful.
