    Default Minnesota deal

    Here's a thought:

    MIN gets:

    Tyler Hansborough 3 yrs, $7.192M
    Soloman Jones 1 yr, $1.500M
    2011 First Round Pick (unprotected)
    2013 First Round Pick (unprotected)

    IND gets:
    Kevin Love 2 yrs, $8.247M

It is starting to sound like Kevin Love and David Kahn and Kurt Rambis are not seeing eye to eye. We come off a good young PF who could replace Love, plus two future first round picks.

Hibbert, Love and McRoberts. I like that young front court. A lot.

Solo is just a throw in. Hell, I would give them just about anyone they wanted in this scenario. We don't need to make salaries work with them. I would OVERPAY for Love, as long as it isn't Hibbert that we are trading, because Hibbert and Love would be a GREAT tandem IMO.

On the surface I like the deal, but I would assume that the Wolves would be interested in our best young prospect (Paul George) as opposed to a guy that is really just a poor man's version of the guy they'd be getting rid of.

Why not take back one of the #1 and add Rush (not sure how many guys are on their roster right now to take a 3 for 1, but we could always take another player). This would allow more playing time for PG and perhaps Lance. Could always add in some second rounders.

I'd love to try and get a guy like Kevin Love.
Lance + Starting SG = Awesome

    Now really free Lance!

Honestly, Minnesota won't even be remotely interested unless we're offering up Granger or Hibbert. And that scenario wouldn't make sense for us.

Maybe before this season, before they traded Al Jeff, and before Love proceeded to blow up, other teams might have had a chance at stealing him away. Now the Wolves aren't going to let him go. Maybe we'll have another shot in 2012, if Love really does refuse to extend with the Wolves and they are forced to trade him. But not before then.

I'd give up one of Granger, Hibbert, Collison, or George and they can have whatever the hell else they want if they're going to give us Kevin Love. And Paul George is my favorite player in the NBA followed by Darren Collison but I can tell a steal when I see one.

He's averaging almost 16 freaking rebounds and 20.6 points and he's 22 years old. Imagine him in five years.

We need better than solid. No JJ Redicks, Andray Blatche, Mike Dunleavy type guys to have big roles on our team.

To be honest, I would send them Granger.

Would Granger straight up for Love work? I might think we would have to throw in a pick for the diference in size, contract, and age.

Granger and 2011 Unprotected First for Love? Hell that even gives us a lot more cap space. I would do that deal.

    Collison Price
    Rush Stephenson DJones
    George Posey
    Love Hansborough
    Hibbert McRoberts

You would have to give this group the green light on offense. Make them push and run the offense through the low post. Pick and Roll offense. Solid defensively. Young. Paid for.

I'd give them Paul George, Hansbrough, and a first or two.

I would send them any two players they wanted (but that could include only one of Granger/Collison/Hibbert -- then they can pick whoever else they want from the roster) and two unprotected first rounders. And I would take Darko back as well (unless they insisted on keeping him) if they wanted to shed a bad contract.

Don't kill me for this, guys, but I will say right now that Kevin Love is a top 12 NBA player. Easy. I wanted to say top 10 but I couldn't. But certainly top 12.

AND.... he's freaking 22 years old. Wow.

David Kahn isn't going to deal with Bird unless the T-Wolves can fleece the Pacers in a trade.
