Mark Cuban Calls Phil Jackson Jeanie Buss' 'Boy-Toy'.By FanHouse Staff

    Boy-toy?

After the 12-time champion -- 11 as a coach, one as a player – suggested that the Dallas Mavericks would be a little bit thinner after losing forward Caron Butler to a season-ending knee injury, Mavs owner Mark Cuban, no stranger to controversy, hit Jackson a little below the belt by poking fun at the relationship with his love interest.

"I love that Jeanie Buss' boy-toy had something to say about us," Cuban said while working out in the Mavs' workout room Tuesday. "I don't know if it was his thought or Jeanie's thought, but it's nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other teams."

The Lakers coach has been involved in a relationship with owner Jerry Buss' daughter and team executive vice president of business operations, Jeanie, for several years

When asked about how the void of Butler will affect the Mavs' season, Jackson told The Los Angeles Times, "He just leaves a vacuum that's going to be very hard for them to fill."

While the Lakers (23-11) are struggling this season, the Mavs (25-8) are second only to the Spurs in the Western Conference.

The Mavs will host the Lakers for the first time this season on Jan. 19.

I hate Phil's guts, but what does that have to do with anything? -1 to Cuban.

That is a riot. Sounded like Cuban was having more fun than trying to be malicious or anything.

That is great... Phil jackson should be wondering how to get his team going instead of commenting on the mavericks.

What's wrong with Phil Jackson saying that losing Caron Butler hurts the Mavericks?

Since he was asked a question about the Mavericks I don't have a problem with his comment. If the question had been about the Lakers and he starts talking about Dallas then I have a problem with it.

Can't we put both Cuban & Jackson on a slow boat to a small deserted tropical island somewhere?

    Fun-ny!

If I were Cuban, I would've taken an even lower road and said,

"I don't know what he's proud so of, Phil isn't the only one to ever see Jeanie Buss nekkid."

Nope. Phil would find that too Zen. I say lock them in a room together with only Red Bull and Cheeze Whiz to eat and make them read every word of every thread with the words "fire JOB" in them.

I, for one, enjoy someone taking a pot shot at Phil who always seems to be manipulating through the media.

    More Mark.

    I misread "speak" as "spank."
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

Since when is 23-11 defined as "struggling"?
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” - Winston Churchill

“If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to serve as a horrible warning.” - Catherine Aird
