Default Baltimore at Kansas City - Wild Card Weekend - 1/9/11

(12-4) The Ravens beat the Bengals last week, and hope for a good combo of the pass and run game to keep the Chiefs defense honest. Will the loud and rowdy crowd at Arrowhead affect them?

(10-6) Losing last week to the Raiders, the Chiefs went from the #3 seed to the #4 seed, and in some eyes are viewed as the underdog against a tough Ravens team.

This is what happens when you lose to a crummy Raiders team. I would have much rather had the Jets in the wild card, not to mention getting the Steelers over the Pats. I don't know that the Jets are any worse than the Ravens, but they sure are a lot more inconsistent, and a much better matchup for the Chiefs. I think this is a winnable game for my team, but it'll depend on which team shows up, and regardless, I have no hope of doing anything against the Pats, but I'm hoping for a win on Sunday, combined with a Colts loss (no offense) so that we don't have to play the Pats until the AFC Championship game.

No matter what happens with the Chiefs in the playoffs, what a great turn around. This is a team with such a rich history with the AFL and its good to see them in the right direction. No one thought they would come near the playoffs this year, but here they are. I don't think beating Baltimore is impossible, especially since its a home game. I think the coaching staff will have them ready after the loss to the Raiders.

The last four plays for the Chiefs on this possession, still in their own territory:

    - Intentional grounding by Cassell
    - Cassell sacked
    - Fumble, recovered by Baltimore
    - Pass interference

Okay, so after all of that, the Ravens are held to a FG. So what happens on KC's first play of the new possession? Interception by Cassell.

Ravens get a TD, and on KC's first play of the new possession, Cassell fumbles it away.

This has got to be one of the biggest choke jobs ever.

The call was overturned (incomplete pass), but still...

KC held Baltimore to a three-and-out, then was offsides on the punt and gave it back to them.

This is so bad it's comical.
