Thats not nice, and not really needed.
Wow, I get on after the game and this is the first thing I read.
Take a deep breath, and calm yourself.
Dear Danny Granger,
Thank you for putting up with all the lack of help that we have given you. I know it must be difficult considering that you are the only true scoring option for the team and that you are asked to carry an enormous role offensively.
While others may flame you- I for one will say that please keep it up. Soon we will find more offensive players so that you won't have to carry the load by yourself. Until then, please continue what you are doing- but if there is anything you can work on, work on the shot selection.
You know countering an irrationally one-sided negative post with an irrationally forgiving one-sided positive post isn't exactly progress.
Danny is often part of the problem, and his defense continues to be a main factor when it comes to problems with the starting lineup.
He is a nice scorer, but given the imbalance of his game he needs to be on nearly every game to justify being the star. Watching guys like Gay or Pierce getting the better of him at will doesn't exactly undo the PT situation he found with the US squad.
He's certainly not alone in having issues and he's definitely not the biggest issue, but this isn't Steve Nash on the Suns time either. He's got teammates who often contribute more than he does to the overall game at this point, he's hardly carrying the team by himself.
You know who sucks? People that think Danny should be playing like a number one option every night in this system. Cool your jets and have a good night.
Already stoked for 2013-2014.
I just hope he didn't get anything sharp for Christmas.
It just seems to me that Danny has lost interest in what is going on around him, and is losing interest while Bird figures the rest of this thing out. He told us last year to give him until this summer and things would be good again. And I must say that given where we were 2 seasons ago, and last season, we have improved a ton. But as Danny sees it, the fans aren't connected, our roster is slowly evolving, but still lacks major pieces, the system around him isnt producing in a way it should given the current talent, and until we either get another star to play next to him, or make moves via trades or free agency, then it just isnt worth it. He obviously wants more, because managment promised him moves, and to look for a big man this summer. But until that happens, and things are figured out around him, I think he is giving all he can, with what he is given.
"Did we learn anything?"-Jonathan Ames
"No, but thats okay, It's a good thing to stay in the dark about things - it keeps life more interesting."- George Christopher
i love danny but hes killing me lately
get out of this **** slop danny and lets see the real danny granger again
the one who would actually make the majority of his attempts and finish with 30+ points nearly every game
In 49 states it's just basketball, but this is Indiana!
He needs to get out of this slump and needs to cool it with the attempts if he's not feeling it.
He'll get out of it and hopefully soon because if he struggles, the whole team suffers.
So you're saying Danny played like Kobi tonight?
I'd also like to mention that this is our star player you're talking about.
It really ticks me off how people forget what kind of player he is and what he does for us.
Without Danny, this team would be so much worse. So think twice about wanting to trade him. This guy is as much of this team's future as Roy and DC are. He's probably the most important piece to team's future success.
Again, he's in a slump. Players of equal caliber get caught in them for a short while, but break out of it.
I agree with the other posts, not a necessary thread from a Pacers fan calling out the star of the team.
I've always wanted to do this...
