    Default Wii Conversion

As a guy from the pong and mario brothers generation I haven't played video games for maybe 20 years. My 6 year old daughter begged and begged Santa for a Wii this year. I caved and got her one with the sports package as she requested. Tonight we hooked it up and I immediately became addicted. Now here I am at 4am bowling by myself and the kids are well asleep on the couch. I actually woke her up to show her my high score of 203. She woke up and said, "Daddy go to bed, you're giving me a headache.

If you hook your Wii up to the internet, you can buy quite a bit of the old Nintendo games. I bought a few last year, Super Mario Bros, DonkeyKong Country, and Mario 64 to name some.

Just go to the Wii Marketplace, and they will have a list either by name or by console that you can choose from.

You need to get the Nintendo classic controller for most, but it's not that expensive and I'm sure you can find some online for dirt cheap.

Yup. The virtual console is good. I have super Mario 2 and 3, super C, street fighter 2, tecmo bowl, sonic the hedgehog, and super Mario world among many others.

I love my Wii. It is an amazing party system.

I have Mario, Donkey Kong, and Goldeneye. It takes me back to the N64 and Super Nintendo days.

Also, it is nice to get off your butt and have to do things in the game. That is why I love Wii Sports.

This is exactly whats going on at my house too.

I didn't see this thread but I just posted my thoughts on goldeneye wii in "the game you last played thread" I'm old school N64 Goldeneye and Perfect Dark fanatic so I was kinda harsh.

It's simple about the wii though, my house is just more fun with a wii.

Also I downloaded the N64 Zelda game "Majora's Mask" for 1000 wii points and that may have been the best purchase for 10$ I've ever made.

I can't wait for the new Zelda game to come out!!
