Ok I can put this in here

    PG just tweeted

    King24George Paul George http://twitter.com/#!/King24George
Headed to the gym! Step up tonight PG!

Wonder if that means Danny isn't playing and he is...or that they just activated him even though Danny is playing (just in case Danny reinjures).

I hope he plays well if he gets the chance! Would be great for the young guy's confidence!

That sounds good and hopefully PG shines bright tonight if he gets to play. I'm really hoping we beat the Bulls as I am starting to absolutely hate them (as a team, though ) except for a couple of their bench guys. Their commentators are also HORRIBLE and very annoying to listen to (very biased).

Good luck tonight, Pacers, and GET THIS WIN!!!

It's not good if Danny isn't playing tonight, but at the same time I'm happy PG24 will get a chance.

I do hope Danny is playing though.

This is gonna come down to defense. Roy needs to stay focused the whole time because Noah can make people pay with rebounding and put back dunks.

DC needs to play very hard and play like he knows.

I've heard Danny might not be playing. I would have thought DJones would get the activation though. (Even though PG is better, DJones would probably be useful against Rose)

I never had one with a healthy roster. The only 2 postions the Pacers have an edge is SF with Granger and SG. I'm not looking for a win, but since it's X-mas time I wouldn't mind an early present.

I don't see Danny missing any more time.

The injury didn't look anymore serious than just sitting out a game.

Having a game off might be good for him mentally too. He was very frustrated with the way he played in Atlanta.

We can go 2 games under .500 with a loss tonight and Wednesday against the Lakers.

We need to play incredibly hard. You can't get lazy especially against teams like this.

I think we may see AJ and PG significantly tonight. AJ for sure... and Paul if he can keep his head on straight and not be a liability.

No DG hasn't exactly killed us in the past so I'm not as worried as I fear I should be... he has been playing some above average D all year though... Regardless I shall be attentively tuned in to tonights broadcast.

No DG was a disaster in the past.

When he was out for like 20 games with the foot injury, we lost so many games.

I give you that one... but he's in his like 6th or 7th year now. He has missed time (if not significant) before that and after. And maaaaybe if im feeling up to it I'll dig into this a little bit more. But taking away that most significant stretch I'm willing to bet we were able to keep our heads above water.
Tonight would be a significant game and one where we will miss him.. I was just stating the opposite to rally the troops i guess.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/3...elp-the-pacers
Are the Pacers a better team without Granger?
The numbers, at least on paper, suggest that the Pacers may be better off without Danny Granger. Contemplate this: in the last two seasons, Granger has missed a total of 24 games.

In those games, the Pacers scraped together a record of 12-12 (0.50), which would make them a 41 win team when converted to an 82 game season. Compare this to the record the Pacers had with Granger, which was 33-52 (0.39), making Granger's Pacers a 32 win team over 82 games.

*This artice is from bleacher and it is dated.. but it did have some of the numbers i was lookng for scrounged up for me sooo.... Again I think Danny is the greatest, I'm just saaayinn

I'm nervous we're gonna go on a 3 game losing streak.

We can't put ourselves in that situation anymore.

    Every game matters.

Someone said something directly correlating to what you're saying here. They made the point of pointing out that with our current stretch of games we may not see .500 again until like 28-28 is what i think they said... Idk about that exaactly but I do agree we cant fall too far down the slope.

I don't think we will. I think we're a .500 team no matter the competition (unfortunately?) and we'll continue to drop ones we shouldn't and win ones we shouldn't have. Tonight is definitely the most winnable game in our next 3 though, who comes after the Celtics?

We have the Cavaliers again after the Lakers.

I still think we'll stay at least .500 this whole season.

This team can be dangerous, but it's a huge question when they come out strong or if they slack off and get lazy.

That can't happen. No matter who we play, we need to play as hard as we possibly can.

Roy needs to start scoring more, rebounding more, and blocking more shots again.

It really seems like he's in a bad slump and he looks like the Roy Hibbert from last year.

Same goes for DC. He hasn't been consistent.

    We can't afford this.

I'd have to see the entire press conference, but if he said that Roy still has a lot more room for improvement then he's right. I think O'Brien continues to have very high hopes and expectations for Hibbert.

  34. #25

Default Re: 12/13/2010 Game Thread #23: Pacers Vs. Bulls

How can Mike Wells possibly say that O'Brien is hurting Roy's chances at winning M.I.P.? If it weren't for O'Brien prodding him to become leaner and more fit then Roy wouldn't even have a shot at it (see the SI article--Hibbert admits that he needed to go to such obsessive lengths in order to conform with coach's expectations). Wells is at it again sadly....
