Thread: Tony Ugoh to the Lions

Default Tony Ugoh to the Lions

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...e=NFLHeadlines

The Indianapolis Colts put Ugoh on the waived-injured list in September after once touting him as their left tackle of the future. Ugoh was demoted from starter to backup during training camp in 2009. The Colts traded up to take him with the 42nd overall pick in 2007 and he started 11 games as a rookie and 12 times the next year.

I hope the best for him. Maybe he can get back on track and be a good player in the league.

I'd say that this bothered me, except for the fact that he's crap and won't do anything.

Either way, best of luck to him. Luck b*****d gets payed to go do absolutely nothing for somebody else and get paid. Wish my job worked that way.

I think the rolling eyes have to do with the fact that your comment had no place. What does Polian have anything to do with Ugoh going to Detroit at this point? Why was that even necessary? Then you move on in the thread and say you like Polian, but his ways are tiring on you? Again, what do his "ways" have to do with Ugoh? He missed on Ugoh as a draft pick, well that happens to every GM. Is every GM in every sport tiring you too? Or is drafting an offensive lineman something that is tiring on you? I doubt it, so again, it has no place or merit here.

It's just an out of place jab with no real purpose in relation to the thread. There's certainly could be a time and place to complain about Polian, but this particular thread was an awfully strange place to choose to do so.

To be fair though, he is used to the mannerisms of the Pacers forum where every thread includes JOB...

Last night I was asking for an update on Danny because he was noticeably shaken up, and the only thing I got was. "Danny was faking it, Danny sucks, don't worry he was milking every second on the ground."

I understand what you mean, and to defend myself, I *****ed because in a year where we've had problems with the line, and struggled at times, it is hard not to.

If you're going to bring up Tony Ugoh on a Colts board regardless of what it is about, this is probably going to happen, if not me, someone else. Should I have *****ed? Probably not. Was it somewhat out of place? To an extent.

To be honest, I didn't care, personally. Just figured since nobody else was going to say anything, I thought I'd share the angle I could see on why someone might post that.

I was channeling my inner mind reader.

I don't think it's so much the fact that Polian missed on Ugoh that people complain about. It's the *****ing about the O-line, then doing absolutely nothing to fix it that pisses people off.

Hell, we've missed on more offensive lineman than TJ Ford has on last second shots.
