At least not for good teams. In years past we would fold. Tonight is going to tell us alot about who we really are as a team. If we can win then we may be the most dangerous sleeper team in the NBA. Utah matches up with us very well so I expect it to a good game, altough I wouldn't mind another 50 point quarter lol
I think conditioning is more important than how good the team is.

And even good teams do have the schedule pile up on them. Come on, it's not like a good team should go 82-0. For the best teams the most likely reason for a loss is just the complete combination of circumstances, of which travel and tiredness are important components.

Never said a good team should go 82-0, only that if they lose they lost because they just got outplayed not because it is a schedule loss.

Completely. Utah is hot, Utah has sound defensive and team offense strategies, especially along the frontline that hampers the ability of Roy and Josh to impact the game. Deron is a very painful matchup for Collison.

I expect Indy to take the lead like everyone else does on Utah but for them to pull away around the end of the 3rd and to be done with the Pacers. I also think we see Danny have a tough shooting night at a high volume rate.

Keep in mind that I answered the "Can we beat the Lakers" question with a 100% yes. This is different, this is about as unfavorable as a situation can get.

Now the Phoenix game...that has win written all over it. And if they beat the Suns then the trip is automatically an outstanding success.

If your looking at raw rebounding numbers, I'd venture to say their pace has something to do with that. They're below the league average in pace.
Offensive rebounding PCT - they are 22nd

Defensive rebounding PCT - they are 29th

They simply don't track down missed shots, period.

Of course while the Pacers are 5th in defensive rebounding (I seem to recall a certain pro-Troy thread...), they remain pretty crappy as an offensive rebounding team even with Josh, Roy, Dun and Rush involved...they rank 26th.

Utah 29th, Indy 26th...so I guess every Pacers missed shot will hit the floor 4-5 times before someone picks it up.

Indy is 2nd in eFG% defense, but #1 is Utah. That's not pace, that's defending the shot. Should be a lot of rebounds to struggle to get to tonight.

I thought the Suns would be a win too..but then I remembered Nash v. TJ and Darren. When Nash controls a game Suns have a good chance, and Nash will control that game..

Where were all of you "schedule loss" people when the Pacers beat the Nuggets in October? They were on their 5th game in 7 nights.

Honestly most people saw 2 wins on this trip as the best case, so the fact that after 2 games we can play to have an outstanding road trip in the next two is awesome in and of itself.

I expect us to blow them out of the water tonight. This is our first road trip, we shouldn't be tired yet. Jazz are due for a big loss just the way they have been playing. Coming back from 20 pt losses so many times.
