Ricky Hall didn't have a whole lot of size either, but he had a never ending motor too, and somehow ended up being my favorite Boilermaker.

I'm glad we got a recruit with a ridiculous name, I hope he can play.

Tonight's game is huge. Wisconsin is one of the best teams in the country, in my opinion.

Basil was always going to be a Purdue get, Stephens commitment just accelerated the process. Very solid recruiting week for you guys.

OK, time to see how much they worked in practice on inbounding the ball against pressure.

I don't know what the **** was with those two fouls on Jackson. Thought I was watching NBA refs there for a second.

    Bring on the Buckeyes.

ESPN needs to cut the **** and give JaJuan Johnson POTY consideration. What's he need to do? Drop 40 on OSU?

The fact is for as good as JJ has been for you, Sullinger has been better for OSU. And seeing as OSU is probably a 1 seed in the tourney barring a complete collapse, if a big man from the Big Ten is going to get POTY consideration it will be him.

Although, IMHO, the POTY is Fredette's to lose.

Sullinger has been better? I'd love to hear more details on this? JJ puts up more points and blocks. Sullinger has a few more boards and a better FG%. Sullinger plays on a slightly better team. He plays with a better pg in Craft. Perhaps the best outside threat in the league in Diebler and one of the better SF's in the conference in Lighty. Diebler, Lighty and Buford give Sullinger almost 40 points a game in support.

If you take JJ off of Purdue, they're a bubble team right now. You take Sullinger off OSU and they're still contending for a Big 10 title.

I dont think Sullinger is the best player in his conference.

    Really?

Diebler is about as one trick pony as they come.

Craft is better than Lewis Jackson? I mean if you want to make that claim it's up to you, but I completely disagree. Craft will be a solid player, but he's a freshman, and really just a stop gap. Buford and Lighty are great players, but let's not act like JJ doesn't have E'twaun.

Let's look at some of Sullinger's numbers...

26 and 10 in his second college game @Florida.
40 and 13 in his 7th college game vsIUPUI (Ohio State probably loses this game without that effort)
30 and 19 vs. South Carolina
    24 and 12 @Iowa
    27 and 16 @Illinois
Ohio State loses both the Iowa and Illinois games without Sullinger.

It's not like I'm saying JJ sucks, Sullinger has just been better. 56% from the floor is really, really strong, and he averages a double double, something JJ doesn't do.

And as far as Ohio State definitely being a Big 10 contender without Sullinger, but Purdue being a bubble team without JJ, I'm not sure what to take from that other than I disagree on both counts I think. Otherwise, I'd think you guys would be battening down the that hatches for a very rough year next year.

JJ's a great player, but Sullinger has been ridiculous all season long. Huge numbers and has absolutely given that Ohio State team a legit inside presence. Something they would not even come close to having without him.

I have to go with Joe here, but I do think that if Purdue beats Ohio State Sunday, JJ has a shot at Big 10 PTOY (particularly if he outplays Sullinger in that game.) I can actually see JJ winning Big 10 PTOY and Sullinger winning national POTY.

Pretty close, but I would take JJ's 50% FG over JS's 56% any day.

I'm a huge Purdue fan and i like Lewis Jackson alot, but anyone who's watched OSU play more then a couple of games this year, knows Craft is better then Lewis Jackson. Better in just about every aspect of the game accept for maybe speed, but Craft is no slouch when it comes to speed either. He's not just a freshman and a stop gap. Not even sure what you're talking about there. Watch him play some time. He's pretty damn good. Obvioulsy he's no Kalin Lucas, but from pure PG stand point, he's pretty damn good.

I'm just saying, JJ hitting 50% is more impressive to me given the shots he takes. Not saying he is necessarily better because of that.

...and I would take LewJack at this point.

The last 5 or 6 games, Jackson for sure, but if we're talking about the entire season, Craft has been the better.

with all these top 10 teams losing, Purdue might be in position for a top seed if they win out and win the Big 10 tournament.

Oh wait, we dont have Robbie Hummel so they wont let us have that high of a seed.

I don't see us winning out anyway. We likely would have to beat osu twice, which would be tough.

It would be two home games basically.

I think a lot more people would show up for a B10 tourney game than an ISU game. Either way, it would be tough to beat osu twice even if both games were in Mackey.
